Srsly? That's such an easy, open prompt! Surely there's some creative people on my flist that can fulfill a prompt waiting around for about five years!

Holmes/Watson WWI AU. They are the best of friends (and maybe already lovers) but the war rips them apart. Bonus for internalized homophobia, the horrors of war, family secrets, and love letters (burned, cherished, unsent, discovered by the wrong people, whatever). Character deaths, violence, sex, unrequited love, melodrama, and shamelessly epic romance all okay!

There are some absolutely amazing requests out there in soooooo many fandoms.

There's also a metric shittonne of awesome Harry Potter. Don't believe me? Here are some of the ones waiting for you to write them.

The following request has been around since Round III and I don't have any clue why it hasn't been claimed. It's an awesome simple request -

Sirius/Remus Marauder-era pranks, something involving the Map.

I know how much you Snarry folks like AUs... Take a look at this one that just so happens to have been around since before I inherited this comm -

Harry/Snape On the verge of defeat, Voldemort disappears - taking his most trusted servent with him - Severus Snape, lover of one Harry Potter. All efforts to locate Severus have failed. Five years later, Severus is back.

Calling all Harry/Ron peeps -

Harry/Ron Harry realises how many times Ron has actually been there for him, and Ron realises the lengths he will go for Harry. Late-night quidditch practice leads to hot making out on a broom.

The best Harry/Draco request out there cause it's mine and it's looking for a good writer -

Harry/Draco There must always be a Stubby Boardman. When the current Stubby Boardman gets killed (however you wish), he grasps the nearest warm body to pass on the secrets of Stubby Boardman ... that body just happens to be Draco. (ie, sort of like the Dread Pirate Roberts from Princess Bride but Stubby Boardman instead).

Snack! We even have Snack (and yes, I'm looking at you, themostepotente)!

Snape/Sirius Two years after Voldemort's demise Sirius gets out of the Veil, and has to ask Snape for help for...something. No kinks other than mild BDSM - no non-con, dub-con.

We've got ASS!

Albus Potter/Scorpius Malfoy The boys had a brief romantic relationship in school, but parent(s) (your choice which) objected and sent the one away to another school. Fast forward to five years after graduation and an article in the paper announcing the engagement of one of them to a prominent witch. The other is devastated and tries to stop the wedding from happening. Your choice whether it works out. No Albus, Scorpius, Harry or Draco death, please.

Snupin. Yes. We even have Snupin.

Snape/Lupin Lupin is captured by DEs at Severus' request. Implied previous relationship from the first war a plus, so is dub-con.

So go take a look for your favorite fandom! (and yes - I will be pimping random requests throughout the claiming period so this isn't the last you've heard of me!)

Have been talking to someone about possibly moving slashfest to its own webdomain like yuletide does. Then - slashfest would become more like the yuletide comm - where things are discussed and hashed out and announced.

It'd be a bit different as the two fests are completely different. Plus - I have a few things I'd like to see improved upon from their website. And the whole make a request, claim thing is quite a bit different, too. But the basic premise is still there.

Pros: the site uploads the requests and claims for me, making it easier to organize. Also allows for automatic uploading by the participants with their fics. Can set up coding in the site to track dropouts and bannings for the various rounds. Can also set up coding to do the purging of the requests that are no longer valid.

Cons: people bitch about the lack of comments now and I'm not sure that commenting would go up at the website. I mean, if people can't hit the comment button at the bottom of a post, I doubt they'd be willing to click a link on a website.

What do you guys think of the feasibility of it? Take it off LJ and have it more automated and, imho, more polished? Honesty set to "on" plz. I can take the concrit, really :D. This is, obviously, just something in the beginning stages so the more input, the better. I want to get it hashed out as best I can here before I take it to the main comm as you guys speak "wookese" and stuffs.

Have a bazillion recs to post but can't get the brain to function properly. They're mostly from smutty_claus and rs_small_gifts as those are the two fests I'm following because I'm participating in them. I'm quite enjoying the recs from merry_smutmas that you all are posting, though. They point out the great fics that I might pass on first glance as the pairing might not be my cuppa. So, thanks for widening my horizons and highlighting the brilliant works.

I should not be trusted on the internet without yodels around. I have signed up for picfor1000 and hp_springsmut. I got a crazy prompt for picfor1000 last year that ended up turning out pretty cool. hp_springsmut shall be interesting as my requests are either Seamus/Someone or Sirius/Someone, basically. Good luck to the mods with matching me and May the Force Be With You. Sorry to be so complicated.

I have tl;dr thoughts on how detailed a prompt you should leave for your author (hint: it isn't 16 words long counting each name in your pairings). But that is for another post.

Someday, I will get to posting the last of my resolution reviews. They've only been done since November 15th.

Am dogsitting at the house from the 50s over Christmas. I am also starting a second job starting Sunday. It's at a grocery store that sort of masquerades as a Target and I will be working in the home department. Err, yayes for folding towels for 6 hours a shift? But, needs (and Terminus) must so 20 hours a week shall do it.

Finally - I have just mailed out the Christmas cards. Didn't get all the drabbles finished so, instead, I'm going to post them here for a 12 days of christmas sort of thing, instead. I hope that's cool with everyone. I'm sorry to be so lame. Life just got chaotic.

Ok, I lied. slashfest Round VI is coming! BWEE!!! Get your prompting thoughts ready! And, err, if you have outstanding requests? Could you take a look and see if they're really something you still want? I have 410 outstanding requests right now. Also - I suggest you all go take a look if you're looking for inspiration or you have something you're working on. Maybe perhaps hopefully the story/artwork will fit one of the outstanding prompts.

Speaking of amazing Deamus - loads of stuff was done for the Kaalee Appreciation Day and kaalee has compiled a post with all of it here. Every piece is lovely and you all should go take a gander at the deamus and the Neville and the Harry/Ron!

slashfest is having its claiming round and there were over 650 prompts in over 150 fandoms so trust me when I say we have something for everyone. LOADS of fantabulous prompts are still available. There are bunches of h/d prompts and some Deamus and Snaco and Snupin (Yes, I'm looking at you *grins*) and Snack and Puppy fic and incest and that's just the HP prompts. We have loads of anime fandoms, TV fandoms and movie fandoms. Large fandoms, small fandoms, everyone needs loving :). There's requests for schmoop, mpreg, fluff, angst, hard!kink, hate!sex, bondage and basically anything you can think of, we have it. Go take a look at the prompts and see if any of them inspire you.

It's hard to narrow down my requests :(

I also wanted to say thanks to everyone that's pimped slashfest so far! I have very high hopes for loads of great requests this round!

Remember, just because you request, you don't have to write so the lurkers on the flist? Feel free to make a request or two or three! Remember, one per pairing per fandom but you can make multiple requests per fandom. (ie, you can't do three harry/draco requests but you can do a harry/draco, a deamus (please to be requesting deamus) and a sirius/remus all from HP)

You all should note that I'll be poking all you all about this for the next week and a half. Just, yanno, giving the heads up.

Pimp1 - Last day of claiming for Round IV.5 at slashfest... you know you want to claim stuff. There are still almost 300 requests looking for someone to fulfill them.



Pimp2 - slash_friday is a new comm for multi-fandom slashiness. Every Friday, starting March 2nd, a prompt will be posted. Members will have until the following Friday (or when the new prompt is posted) to write a story based on that prompt. Prompts will include photographs, quotations, words, phrases or songs. Stories can be any length and any fandom!



fiona_fawkes has graciously agreed to help me launch it and I'm quite excited!
