wook77: (Not intimidating)
Ugh, tired and cranky and sick. Why did I have to be born female and with ill-working girl bits?

Anyway - went out with a friend last night. You might remember Cobra girl. We finally reconciled and hit a few bars on 4th Avenue. It was alright, she didn't bite anyone so that's an improvement, right?

Watched most of the Live Earth concert that was broadcast and I have to say that the dude that got to hold Lenny Kravitz's ass in Rio was one lucky motherfucker. I want that, dammit!

Am going to go see OotP with [livejournal.com profile] shygryf on Wednesday. Made the decision that as her car isn't running and I have to work on Wednesday, that it'd just be better to go after work. After watching a few videos that [livejournal.com profile] kaalee linked, I have no faith that Seamus will be in it all that much nor will he have an opportunity to join the DA simply due to Devon's interview where he says Seamus disappears at the end. Alfie, however, did say that he was going to check out fictionalley so, um, good luck, Alfie. Hope you don't mind seeing Dean and Seamus hooking up. I know I don't.

[livejournal.com profile] rpg_prophet is coming back with a new look. We'd taken an unplanned hiatus and, thus, have reorganized. If you watch rpgs and/or rp, you can help! Add a suggestion for discussion topics or suggest a game to have an in-depth feature. If you rp - write a letter to Luna asking for advice. She's just like Hints from Heloise, Dear Abby or Ann Landers.

on a more personal note )

I have a post about spoilers written but it's at work so expect some psuedo-meta on that possibly tomorrow.

How are all of you?
wook77: (cisco goggles)
Just got back from the vets and it turns out that Cisco has a nasty skin infection, like superdooper nasty but nothing that can't be treated with a really nice run of antibiotics. I can get the antibiotics through work dirt cheap so the appointment cost about half of what i budgeted so AWESOMENESS on that.

Also - it was about the time for Cisco's eye appointment so we did both today. It seems that his rate of deterioration has gone way down so he's not going blind nearly as quickly as the vet predicted. In fact, he's at the point that the vet predicted he'd be at four months ago so he's doing really well on that end as well.

Today might have started out like crap but it got way better. Plus, my mum took me out to lunch so I had these amazingly awesome chicken pesto panini that rocked my socks.

Now if Cisco will respond to the antibiotics well... *fingers crossed*

Last night, Nala comes up to me, proud as can be and dropped a black "thing" in my hand. Turns out, according to the bug guy that came to our house today, it's a wolf spider. The thing was as big as my first knuckle of my ring finger and that measures about an inch long. The thing was frelling HUGE. Poor [livejournal.com profile] ficlette had to deal with me freaking out about it as it was right before bedtime. UGH, did not sleep most of the night due to nightmares of giant spiders eating me while I slept. I hate bugs. HATE HATE HATE them. OMG HATE.

Finally - The [livejournal.com profile] rpg_prophet announced that [livejournal.com profile] hex_files and [livejournal.com profile] stoatshead_hill are the newest games to be covered over there. We're looking for an editor to fill in for now, if anyone's interested, send us an email at rpgprophet[at]gmail[dot]com.
wook77: (Prophet Mod)
Pimping this here as well as I know a few of you are in rpgs and might not be aware...

[livejournal.com profile] rpg_prophet is a weekly newsletter (posted every Sunday) that follows a certain number of games.

We're increasing the number of games we're watching and we're hosting a poll here about it.

Some of the contenders include - [livejournal.com profile] biscuitarsed, [livejournal.com profile] hex_files, [livejournal.com profile] rpg_afterglow and a ton more.

Go vote (use your regular lj as any character journal votes will be disqualified) for your favourite two games!

I got sent home from work today... )

ETA: RANT!!!! ARGH!!!! Ok, so while trolling about, I went to the moderator of the [livejournal.com profile] harrydraco comm's journal [livejournal.com profile] boggart and she has one entry and it says... "goodbye :)". I know that there were a bazillion volunteers to help take over that comm when she decided harry/draco wasn't for her but WHAT THE FUCK. She just LEFT that comm with no one to moderate it... NO FUCKING ONE. How completely and totally TWUNTISH can one get? OMG, I am soooooooooo boggled and rantified over this. There are 3000 members and she can't find one or two or five people to take over for her? How about the 5 people that volunteered on her lj? What about all the people that have fucking emailed her?

I do not get people that do not have enough of a sense of responsibility to give over a comm when they lose time for it, especially one as large as [livejournal.com profile] harrydraco.
