Just got back from the vets and it turns out that Cisco has a nasty skin infection, like superdooper nasty but nothing that can't be treated with a really nice run of antibiotics. I can get the antibiotics through work dirt cheap so the appointment cost about half of what i budgeted so AWESOMENESS on that.
Also - it was about the time for Cisco's eye appointment so we did both today. It seems that his rate of deterioration has gone way down so he's not going blind nearly as quickly as the vet predicted. In fact, he's at the point that the vet predicted he'd be at four months ago so he's doing really well on that end as well.
Today might have started out like crap but it got way better. Plus, my mum took me out to lunch so I had these amazingly awesome chicken pesto panini that rocked my socks.
Now if Cisco will respond to the antibiotics well... *fingers crossed*
Last night, Nala comes up to me, proud as can be and dropped a black "thing" in my hand. Turns out, according to the bug guy that came to our house today, it's a wolf spider. The thing was as big as my first knuckle of my ring finger and that measures about an inch long. The thing was frelling HUGE. Poor
ficlette had to deal with me freaking out about it as it was right before bedtime. UGH, did not sleep most of the night due to nightmares of giant spiders eating me while I slept. I hate bugs. HATE HATE HATE them. OMG HATE.
Finally - The
rpg_prophet announced that
hex_files and
stoatshead_hill are the newest games to be covered over there. We're looking for an editor to fill in for now, if anyone's interested, send us an email at rpgprophet[at]gmail[dot]com.
