I, like everyone else on my flist basically, signed up for [livejournal.com profile] merry_smutmas but considering that I'm the 95th person to sign up and that there are probably going to be another gadzillion people signing up, I highly doubt I'm going to get picked to participate.

That's ok though cause the next thing I'm signing up for is [livejournal.com profile] hp_springsmut and one of the valentine's exchanges (probably [livejournal.com profile] corvidae9's [livejournal.com profile] hpvalensmut.

I want to write for me for now. Haven't done that since February, really.

I'm writing Monaboyd instead of X-men slash for the Friday Fuckfest or whatever it is that [livejournal.com profile] anael and her evil enabling cohorts of doom have decided it was but it will probably be posted on Saturday or Sunday. *woe* and fails at deadlines.

Am going to a Ringers event tomorrow. Meeting people for breakfast and then watching all three movies back to back. Found one girl who reads/writes Monaboyd but not on lj (that's changing under my influence) and we shall perv together.

Ok - a real update on my life - I've been going to the gym really steadily for two weeks, watching what I eat, not really cheating or anything (ok, so I had some french fries and a vanilla frosty :P) and how much weight have I lost? NONE! I've GAINED a sodding pound. This is complete bullshit.

This post was generally pointless, wasn't it?

Springsmut! I didn't think I'd be worrying about that for months.

I just have a list of things I really enjoyed writing for and Springsmut was really fun to expand my horizons of pairings, so really, my love of rarepairs is all your fault ;).

i KNEW i had tremendous bad influence over you :D

also, we already established the other important criteria. namely inches.

It was actually yesterday I had it cause I forgot my lunch :(

You're not a bad influence... well, you are with the RPS crap but not the eating... my shitty eating habits are what got me in trouble in the first place.

Yeah, I went an entire belt loop which is about an inch, so that's a good thing, yeah?

Yes, but maybe that pound is muscle and not fat. I have been working out for two years and went from 165lbs to 164lbs. But I look loads better and am all muscle (except for that problem kangaroo pouch from the kids).

That's what I'm hoping but the issue is that I was fairly muscular before I gained all this weight (was fairly sporty as a high schooler) and so I think I have enough muscle, I just want to lose the fat. I'm five two and at 170... so I want to be around 140 by may... I'm keeping the fingers crossed.

Course I was told to cut out the soda for optimum weight loss but that ain't happening...

Actually, when losing weight don't look at the scale but how your clothes fit cause muscle weighs more than fat so it may just be muscle gain.

I have enough muscle though *woe* from years of dance and field hockey and swimming. I just want the fat to go buhbye...

Meh, It'll go or it'll stay, I'm doing what I can, right? right.

I have never experienced good omens, actually. I'm alright without the exchanges simply because I have loads of WIPs stored on various computers and thumbdrives that I really would like to have more time to work on... I just really want to do merry_smutmas cause there's been such high quality fic there. My request was uber!detailed though so not sure how likely it is to get picked.

I'm glad to be able to read your words with your actual voice in my head, by the way!

I was like sign up # 169... hehe. So, I doubt I'll get in, but it is a lottery, right? Either way I won't be disappointed, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

Fuckfest Friday didn't yield me anything, but [livejournal.com profile] notthequiettype wrote an awesome RPF/RPS fic that will probably not be awesome to you, but it totally AWESOME.

Plus, I ♥ you and miss chatting with you liek woah!

I was also going to suggest that you probably gained muscle. Even if you were very muscular before, if you haven't been exercising regularly for a while, you've probably lost most of it.

I had an injury recently and couldn't really exercise at all for months. I lost my muscle strength so quickly and am only now at the point where I am starting to gain it back. It can take a while, so don't be too hard on yourself! You'll get there! :)

I think, even more important than the actual numbers, is recognising how you feel since getting into the exercise routine. Do you notice feeling better, more energetic, more positive, etc? It can be frustrating when you look at the numbers and feel like you're not making any progress, but focusing on the other ways your determination is paying off can keep you motivated.

Course I was told to cut out the soda for optimum weight loss but that ain't happening...

My mother-in-law lost about fifteen pounds when she stopped drinking soda. And that was pretty much the only change she made!

you should just forgo challenges and such and settle for writing for us. *nods* I'm sure I can come up with some bunnies/prompts for you.

I'm writing Monaboyd instead of X-men slash for the Friday Fuckfest or whatever it is that [info]anael and her evil enabling cohorts of doom have decided it was but it will probably be posted on Saturday or Sunday. *woe* and fails at deadlines.

*snerk* As long as you write something, then I (as one of the aforementioned evil cohorts) will be majorly happy. Though I fail at deadlines too & mine won't be posted until tomorrow.

As for the weight loss -- it's not necessarily the pounds, it the body fat percentage, and muscle weighs more than fat, and blah blah blah. I've been talking about joining a gym and Kristina dragged me to Curves the other day to sign up. We start next weekend, three times a week. But at least I have her to keep me motivated.

And there's no such thing as a pointless post on LJ!
