observations
May. 17th, 2006 09:57 amHi! I, err, just noticed that I went over the 100 friend mark recently and I, err, didn't notice it.
So, to friends old and new - Welcome! I thought I might give a brief introduction/re-introduction.
I really do answer to wook IRL. Nickname from college years when I used to growl at my roommate.
I work for a humane society so I talk about animals alot. I don't work with the animals... instead, I'm an accounting person.
I also go to school full time to finally get my bachelor's after *mumbles* 11 1/2 years of college.
I participate/lurk in a bunch of fandoms...
Harry Potter - I ship H/D, Dean/Seamus, Regulus/Severus, Harry/Neville, Remus/Sirius and almost anything that my flist writes. I'm in four RPGs right now where I play a variety of characters. My favorite character is Parvati Patil at
vu_network cause Vati=love.
Star Wars: I'm an Original Trilogy kind of girl. I don't much care for the prequels as I find the characters wooden and unsympathetic. George should never be allowed to write a script. I do, however, like the comics from the prequel era. I adore the Rogue and Wraith Squadrons people. I also like Ki Adi Mundi from the prequels (although not romantically cause I can't figure out how his big ole conehead would work in that type of situation). Star Wars is really more of a gen fandom for me. but I do like Luke/Wedge and Han/Leia.
KOTOR: Knights of the Old Republic I and II. My first "true" fandom. I love these games so very very much. Carth is yummy, Canderous pwns me and I love snarky!redeemed!Revan. I can't see slash pairings in KOTOR so KOTOR is my "het only" fandom. Revan/Carth, Exile/Atton, Canderous/Mira (hey, it can work), Mission/Dustil are all fave pairings of mine.
Andromeda: Tyr/Harper, thanks. They're very yummy. I'm not such a fan of Dylan Hunt having a working wee wee, thanks.
X-Men: Wolverine/Gambit... they're such a study in opposites that they make me very very happy.
That's a brief overview of me and now for the rest...
Tell me about yourself... anything you think I might be interested in, anything you're proud of, anything that you want the world at large to know.
The offer: I will write a drabble in any of the fandoms listed (caveat: if you want a pairing, it will be restricted to the above listed pairings... sorry) to anyone that has me friended and requests one by May 19th. Reply here by giving me a pairing and either a line that you want included or a prompt. (ie: Carth/Revan at a catina on Tatooine. Canderous with the line "The bigger the gun, the happier I am" included) Please realize that they will be drabbles and unbeta'd.
(err, yes, I am bored at work, why do you ask?)

Date: 2006-05-19 04:10 pm (UTC)In addition to the taping thing - she sorted my underwear drawer and refolded all my panties. She reorganized my cd's to her standards (guess sorting by genre and then alphabetizing within genre wasn't good enough for her). She sorted my books and yaddayaddayadda. In other words, I hated her.
and yeah... totally will do that... prolly during driving school tomorrow, if you don't mind.

Date: 2006-05-17 11:33 pm (UTC)I'm getting married on saturday.
HP is pretty much my only fandom and I've only been involved in since December. Harry/Draco is my OTP, but I ship Remus/Severus, Remus/Sirius, and Dean/Seamus among other things.
I've never had anyone write me a drabble before. Hmmm.... Harry/Draco, fluff, water.

Dean/Seamus is love. Remus/Sirius is love. Severus? um, not so much ;)
You got it and it'll prolly get written during driving school tomorrow, if that's cool.

Date: 2006-05-18 12:17 am (UTC)Prequels- Yeah, keep him away from the typewriter. Favourite things though are abundance of lightsabre duels and the badguys. Maul, Fett, Dooku, Grevious, them I like, especially the filling in of where Boba came from. I liked the Clone Wars cartoon because it filled in some gaps and story that Ep 3 skated over.
Something about me... I've taken to writing AWDT drabbles... De prodded and I caught the bug.
Oooohhh, *shiny*
Drabbly type thing - Deamus - Harry watching and 'enjoying'

YAYES for deamus! I think I have an idea already on my plot bunny spreadsheet that'll fit this! (but it will prolly get written at drivign school tomorrow).

Date: 2006-05-18 03:14 am (UTC)Good job on getting your diploma! I am one piano proficiency test away from mine. But I can't play piano (just every other instrument).
I love animals! Worked with them for years. Have adopted many hard luck cases. My husband just plays along with me when a new wayward pets finds a home here. My specialty is fish and troubleshooting their filter systems.

Date: 2006-05-19 04:17 pm (UTC)Ohhh, music? I used to play the clarinet but I wasn't really good at it.
If you're ever in arizona... look me up, I need help with my filter system.
Yeah, I have four dogs that are all hard luck cases... my shih tzu has all kinds of medical issues but other than those, she's a happy dog so I couldn't let her get put down... I kept her. She has tick fever, bad knees, no teeth and is going blind (and she's only 7). Other than the tick fever thing... my terrier has the same issues. My other two are fairly healthy but all were rescues.
I wouldn't know what to do with a dog from a breeder, methinks.

Date: 2006-05-18 05:36 am (UTC)I'd like a Harry/Draco drabble. I'm not too late, am I? For a prompt, how about: Is it true blonds have more fun?

Date: 2006-05-19 04:18 pm (UTC)Occasionally? Yeah, I buy that.
Of course you're not too late and I'll prolly write this during driving school tomorrow, if that's cool.
