Sep. 23rd, 2010 12:08 amOh Great Flist - help me, you're my only hope.
The little round button on the very bottom of my iPhone randomly stopped working. Thus, to switch apps, I have to power down the phone and power it back up. Is there a way to fix this or am I fucked?
I have about a day's worth of patience for these sorts of shenanigans so if you have any ideas, please lay them on me as quickly as you can. I'd really rather not pay for a new phone, especially the iPhone 4G with the wonderful touch spot but I will if I have to buy a new phone.
I'm not interested in a Droid so telling me to get a Droid ain't gonna be helpful.

Date: 2010-09-23 03:24 pm (UTC)If it's one of the first gen iPhones, fixing it might be more expensive than just replacing it with a refurbished version - as I found when I broke mine. It's not a perfect solution, but if you do find you need to replace it, you can probably do it for about $50 if you buy a refurbished phone. Provided you can't just send it in to get fixed for free, that is.
