A Few Recs

I've been promising links to a few of my favourite GLBT books.

The first is Kirith Kirin. I reviewed it before and it maintains a very high spot on my favourite book list. A small caveat - I would not read the continuation of the series. It devolves into a weird world that I didn't enjoy.

Lynn Flewelling. No, srsly. She has two series - Nightrunner series feature a gay couple as the two main heroes. Every book (but the last one which I hated) is well written. I have high hopes for the next book as the author took the concrit and worked on the issues and promised to improve the issues. So give this series a try.

The second series is Tamir Trilogy features a transgendered heroine. It's a fantastic concept and it's fairly well executed. I quite like this series.

So there are some of my favourite books. Do you have any recommendations?

Finally, a few more fandom things - I've been promising a link to this story - Why Sex Ed Should Stay in Schools - it's a Sesame Street slash story and omg. The lulz. I talked about this at Terminus a lot. I've talked about this story in chats and on vacation and just go read it. It's seriously amazingly crackalicious.

Verbotene Liebe playlist. Srsly awesome in a semi-poorly-acted German and subtitled sort of way.

Book recs: If you're not turned off by paranormals, I stronly recommend 'Without Reservations' by JL Langley, which features two wonderful young men (both werewolves!) coming to terms with the fact that they are meant to be mates. The characters are so warm and believable that I just wanted to hug them both!

Guh, I love that series! ^___^ I'm so glad to know I'm not alone in my gay werewolf love. Have you read the rest of her werewolf books?

O.O

The "rest" of them?! I thought there was only a sequel (Remi's story), which is due to be released soon. What else is there? *wriggles with excitement*

Heee, indeed there are two other books that I've read. Go here (http://www.jllangley.com/jllangley/Books.html) and scroll down to the "With or Without" series.

The two other stories out are:

With Love (The very first werewolf story she wrote, I think, and it's rather hot and sweet)
With Caution (Remy and Jake's story, very hot!)

The author is going to be working on another addition to this series and I'm completely stoked, especially considering the pairing she's going to be writing about! *is very excited*

Also, I would recommend The Good Thief (http://www.amazon.com/Good-Thief-James-Buchanan/dp/1934531448), by James Buchanan. It's hot and engaging and I rather enjoyed it!

I read them and they're very addictive. IDK that I thought they were brilliant stories as the writing was a bit off for me BUT... I really really enjoyed them quite a bit. I couldn't stop reading them at [livejournal.com profile] midnitemaraud_r's place. I plowed through the books and all of JL Langley's books, to be honest.

Thanks so much for the recs! I definitely will be watching for more of her books!
