random update
Aug. 14th, 2006 12:18 amPicspam coming tomorrow/later today...whenever I get to work to be able to upload the pix on something other than dial-up.
Also - I broke my nose on Saturday and ended up going to Urgent Care to get it fixed. I also have a knee imobolizer on because I fucked up my left leg. It's also purple from mid-calf the whole way down the back of my leg. It's a sad day when the right side of my body is the healthy half (I've had a total of 4 surgeries on the right side of my body due to joint issues).
The reason for the broken nose and leg imobilisation? I bought a new bed and the sodding queen sized mattress, box springs and supports fell on me when I was attempting to move a table and turned my back on them. It all came down on the back of my leg and knocked it out from under me, causing me to faceplant into a toychest.
I almost passed out (ok, I did pass out) from the blood streaming from my nose. I hate seeing blood, let alone my own. Hence why bloodplay is not one of my kinks.
That being said, I still painted two bathrooms today. I have to paint two bedrooms next weekend because we're selling this house and there are a lot of people who don't seem to care for aquamarine and lime green for some reason. I don't get it, in all honesty. I like bright colours everywhere in my house, thank you very much. I now have tan everywhere and it's depressing. It could be worse, I suppose, the walls could be white *shudders*.

hd_remix finally had a breakthrough. I promise, it shall be submitted in a mockery of on time if you take the multiple extensions into account.
slashfest will get done this week as well. I just need to rewatch X-men 2.
7_deadly_sins_ - I signed up for Monaboyd RPS... someone shoot me now. But, I had a brilliant idea that I scribbled down (thankfully) and will be writing it when I have my claim accepted.
How are all of you?

Date: 2006-08-14 07:54 am (UTC)And I can't believe you're painting the house if your moving. If I'd known we could have gotten the owners before to paint the rooms, I'd have something other than puke green walls. bleh.
I hope you feel better sweetness, I can't believe that happened to you. Purple leg cast though, awesome choice. :) *snuggles some more* ♥

Date: 2006-08-14 04:18 pm (UTC)We're painting so we can get more money for the house. Painting actually increases the value of the house liekwhoa.
The purpleness IS my leg, not the cast/imoboliser. The imboliser is bright blue, though :)
Thanks for the hugs, I need them right now...

Date: 2006-08-14 12:05 pm (UTC)You have aquamarine and lime green walls? I know why I love you so much. You and Susan Sargent are my inspiration. If only I didn't rent, then I could paint my walls bright colors, too.
As for me, so glad to be home for good.

Date: 2006-08-14 01:01 pm (UTC)I may come to you with painting advice, if you have any. We're going to do a lot of painting [though, after the wedding. if we did it before? I'd just go crazy.] and I've not ever done so before.

Date: 2006-08-14 04:24 pm (UTC)Sure, no worries. I can't do art but I'm really good at wall painting and I have loads of tips and stuff. I don't believe in taping before painting so I've taught myself how to edge and stuffs :)
Nothing like a new coat of paint on the walls to brighten up the room (or dull it down to neutrals so the house is more attractive to buyers *woe*)
How goes the wedding prep?

Date: 2006-08-14 01:31 pm (UTC)I love acquamarine - my bathroom makes me very happy because of the wall colour. The bedroom is a calming sage, and our study is lilac. I'd hate having an all tan house (SO wanted the living room beige, but all the accents are deep burgundy as a compromise).

Date: 2006-08-14 04:26 pm (UTC)I'm a big fan of bright almost garish colours. My bedroom is a really bright tropical blue with a navy wall that I faux finished to be super shiny and super flat so it looks sparkly.
Tan depresses me a bit so I compromised with about 4 shades of tan that are complimentary to each other. I'm not giving up my sparkly wall though. Nope, no way no how... I'm really proud of that wall.
I love the colours you're describing though! They sound really awesome!

Date: 2006-08-14 06:13 pm (UTC)I did get into bed and demand caramels and diet coke. I pulled the princess routine after i finished painting cause then I pulled the whole "i'm injured and I still painted blahblahblah" routine. It worked really well, actually.
