Some pimping and random thoughts -

Pimpage first -

1.) emeraldpen has started a novel-length H/D. It's called Spoils of War. Just, guh. It's a bondslave!draco story but it's unique from any of the ones I've read so far. I'm really really enjoying this story so go check it out and let her know how much you love it!


2.) 30_memoirs - started by imadra_blue. It has a fantastic concept - people sign up to write a personal memoir based on 30 prompts. It's amazing and just YEAH! I've signed up for it as sometimes I get too absorbed in fandom and not absorbed enough in my own writing. I think this will help me concentrate on non-fandom writings.


3.) The darkones bad beginnings challenge voting has started. There's some amazing dark stories there. (I wrote Expectations about Barty Crouch (you know, the story none of you read *winks*). Go vote HERE!


4.) 1character - I signed up for Carth Onasi. Should be interesting. I'm still fairly pissed at the KFM crap though, so we'll see.



Random Thoughts -

I really don't want to go into work tomorrow.

I really don't want to post my unexpected_task. The recipient is NOT going to like it and I am no longer psyched about writing it.

Right now, I really hate one of the RPGs I'm in. It's stressful and annoying and peopled with narrow-minded idiots who can't see beyond their own preferences and preconceived notions. Emo or not, that's how I feel about it. And before anyone asks - I'm not going to say what one it is or why I feel that way.

I'm really not going to sign up for 6 exchange assignments due at the same time ever again. EVER. By the end, I felt stressed and angry and that's not how it's supposed to be.

I'm so not in a good mood right now. (see above "stressed and angry" comments.)

OMG, I just heard someone say "emo boyfriend" on the OC. (err, I'm not watching it. My sister is watching it on the Tivo right now. OC = teenage!stupidity and brainpower loss.

I purged a bunch of icons as I wasn't using them and stuffs. I feel semi-naked without them for some reason, though.

I love Tyr/Harper. They're so pretty and a study of opposites and stuff. Tyr is so purty. I love Keith Hamilton Cobb.





I watched a shitload of movies in the past few days.

History of Violence with Viggo Mortensen - ok, YAY for Viggo arse but um, WTF? I really disliked this movie. It was a series of disconnected scenes and the ending was predictable a mile away.

Ice Age II - YAY for cute! I really really liked this. It was cute and perky and cheered me up for quite awhile.

Memoirs of a Geisha - Beautiful and wonderful and poetic and lovely. Almost as good as the book.

Doom - Mixed reaction on this one. I liked the ending and well, Karl Urban (I blame yodels for that addiction). But the Rock really can't act. He's sexy as all get out but really, just no. I kept flinching and hiding, sure something was going to jump out at me but nope. It was kinda cheesy and schtuffs. Still, not a bad movie, it just wasn't good either.

The Weatherman - just dumb. I've never liked Nicolas Cage, though, so that might be a big reason. It wasn't at all like it was advertised. I was at least expecting to laugh. In a way, it reminded me of the Fisher King. Fisher King was advertised as funny but it wasn't. Quirky, poetic and full of social commentary, it was a great movie. The Weatherman though... ick. I didn't even pay for it and I wanted to demand my money back.



Finally - I went to Target yesterday to get new bottoms as I only had three that fit anymore (a pair of jeans, gray dress slacks and a long green skirt). I'm fat and just eugh. Time for a diet. I think I need to cut down on the gobstoppers... a box a day is probably not good for the teeth or anything.

I just keep getting these random "feels like a prologue" comments on my story when it IS a prologue that clearly ends with the beginning of the game. IT's frustrating that no one seems to be picking up on it when I thought it was fairly blatantly obvious but that's just me and my writing, methinks.
