Second thing on the docket -
merry_smutmas - the reveal is happening on Jan 4 and I cannot wait to see who wrote what. I had an amazing experience, especially for my first time doing it. I was truly blessed with so much awesomeness during this fest and I cannot tell you how much that meant to me. From the recipient to idea of the story (inspired by a cross stitch magazine and a kit I saw in it) to the writing to the reaction, it was abso-frikken-lutely amazing all around. There were so many awesome stories in all the holiday fests that I received my wishlist request of "more awesome stories". Smutmas had me in tears and just overwhelmed with love and I cannot say thank you enough for that.
Third thing - time for resolutions. I have a few -
1.) To finally write my book. GAH!!! DO IT ALREADY.
2.) Lose the rest of this weight, darnit!
3.) Be nicer to people.
4.) Say 'fuck' less.
Then I wanted to add another one so here goes, you all get to help.
green_queen did this and I'm tempted to steal her idea... she resolved, in 2006, to watch 100 movies she hadn't seen before. So, um, yeah, poll time -

Date: 2007-01-02 03:23 am (UTC)I'm tempted to do it now, just to impress you.
Drabbles? I suck at drabbles. No way I can do it. I'm impressed that people can tell a story in 100 words.

Date: 2007-01-02 10:15 am (UTC)For one thing, they've really forced me to be more discplined as a writer and pare away anything that doesn't belong, which is a practice I find myself following even now that I'm writing longer fics.
Maybe you could just try writing ten. :)

Date: 2007-01-02 08:16 am (UTC)i think this year i'm definitely going to try for 100 books. i didn't get to read too much last year. so far i've started Bridge to Terabithia (which i've actually never read, even as a kid) and Eragon... and then i have a couple others i've only read a few chapters in but havent finished. i'm planning on finishing those two this week though... so that would be a great start!
suggestion... if you like humorous books... i would suggest reading Janet Evanovich's 'Stephanie Plum' series. i read like 8 of her books in 2 weeks cause they are sooo damn funny. they start with 'One for the Money.'

Date: 2007-01-02 11:22 am (UTC)And what if you halve your 100 things and say you'll read/watch a combination of 100 movies/books?
