First post of the year and... it's time for thanks!!!

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] enchanted_jae, [livejournal.com profile] footballgirl, [livejournal.com profile] drusillas_rain, [livejournal.com profile] coffeejunkii and [livejournal.com profile] oconel for the Christmas cards!!!! *love to you all*

Many many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] oconel and [livejournal.com profile] kaalee for the gifts in the userinfo *loves*.

Second thing on the docket - [livejournal.com profile] merry_smutmas - the reveal is happening on Jan 4 and I cannot wait to see who wrote what. I had an amazing experience, especially for my first time doing it. I was truly blessed with so much awesomeness during this fest and I cannot tell you how much that meant to me. From the recipient to idea of the story (inspired by a cross stitch magazine and a kit I saw in it) to the writing to the reaction, it was abso-frikken-lutely amazing all around. There were so many awesome stories in all the holiday fests that I received my wishlist request of "more awesome stories". Smutmas had me in tears and just overwhelmed with love and I cannot say thank you enough for that.

Third thing - time for resolutions. I have a few -

1.) To finally write my book. GAH!!! DO IT ALREADY.
2.) Lose the rest of this weight, darnit!
3.) Be nicer to people.
4.) Say 'fuck' less.

Then I wanted to add another one so here goes, you all get to help. [livejournal.com profile] green_queen did this and I'm tempted to steal her idea... she resolved, in 2006, to watch 100 movies she hadn't seen before. So, um, yeah, poll time -

That would be a book every 3 or 4 days, I'd be very impressed. I watch a movie, maybe once every two weeks. How about write a 100 drabbles?

I read 10 books in 5 days... I think I might be able to do it but we'll see.

I'm tempted to do it now, just to impress you.

Drabbles? I suck at drabbles. No way I can do it. I'm impressed that people can tell a story in 100 words.

um... try 100 sexual positions you haven't done before? or as close to 100 as is physically possible. you might have to employ the help of more than one partner at a time. that opens up the possibilities...

Masturbate 100 times. It'll put you in an awesome mood and you'll therefore say "fuck" less. Well, at least around other people. You'll hopefully be getting it all out of your system when you're alone.

I'd definitely go with writing the book and watching the movies. If you want to read 100 books your going to need a lot of time and won't be able to write yourself, would you?

You're welcome *hugs tight*

lol, funny how i was going to say 100 sexual positions too, but someone else beat me to it :-) in that case... i would second 100 porns... but if u'r like me... i read a ton of those on the net anyways (they just all happen to be H/D slash).

i think this year i'm definitely going to try for 100 books. i didn't get to read too much last year. so far i've started Bridge to Terabithia (which i've actually never read, even as a kid) and Eragon... and then i have a couple others i've only read a few chapters in but havent finished. i'm planning on finishing those two this week though... so that would be a great start!

suggestion... if you like humorous books... i would suggest reading Janet Evanovich's 'Stephanie Plum' series. i read like 8 of her books in 2 weeks cause they are sooo damn funny. they start with 'One for the Money.'

Oh, that's a great idea - but then again, I love writing drabbles. Yeah, they can be very challenging, but in a good way.

For one thing, they've really forced me to be more discplined as a writer and pare away anything that doesn't belong, which is a practice I find myself following even now that I'm writing longer fics.

Maybe you could just try writing ten. :)

I had hoped to read 30 books last year but only made it to 26, so 100 sounds almost impossible to me right now. Which is why I chose the 100 movies option. But *points up-thread*, I do like [livejournal.com profile] yodels's suggestion. :)

Hope my card made it to you. If not, I hope it will show up before Easter. Thanks for yours! |

You're very welcome! Happy New Year! ♥

And what if you halve your 100 things and say you'll read/watch a combination of 100 movies/books?
