The first time Danny would smell them on Steve, he wouldn't place it immediately. Of course, the fact that he can smell Steve by nature of being jammed in a fucking crate with him while they wait for the gun runners to return probably has something to do with his state of mind. He's forgotten about it by the time they've got the zip cuffs on the two guys and Danny's more concerned about whatever splashed on his tie, if it's going to claim another as victim to this island.

(I... think I have more, I just have to go to work, mebbe I'll poke at it on my break :P )

...random thought? I think Danny totally has little funerals for his ties *nods* Buries them in the backyard. *giggles*

(just wrote a smidge more today, maybe more tomorrow :P)

The second time Danny smells them, Steve is leaning over him to point out a possible stash for gun runners in the Keaiwa Heiau State Rec Area. Steve shifts and a hint of tobacco and sweetness hits Danny. Danny doesn't have time to think about more than cheap wine, terrible poetry and long, dark hair, before they're out the door and he's holding on for dear life as Steve drives. Then it's a foot chase, explosions and another goddamn tie to add to the box of remnants.
