Hi. I'm not dead!

I've sort of gotten sucked into a video game and I cannot stop playing it. It's seriously eating my brain. I read fanfic as I play the game (those load screens/cut scenes are BRILLIANT times to read fic).

Anyone here playing Dragon Age: Origins? Anyone want to share the squee? I'm totally in love with Alistair and Zevran. I really wish I had this on PC so I could DL and install the mod that gets Alistair to be a homosexual love interest in addition to being a straight one.

Srsly. There is fairly graphic boyloving in this game. See? Watch for yourself! There's femmeslash, too. SEE?! GOD I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH!

So, srsly, if you're into this game, too, please to be sharing the love. And if you aren't, watch the Zevran love scene above and tell me that you aren't intrigued?

Zevran is, hands down, my favorite. Cause, srsly, flirtations bisexual elf that doesn't hesitate to joke around about EVERYTHING?! Read some of his dialogue lines. He tells you that you're about to be boarded by the pirate Zevran! LOL GOD LOL

Did I memtion that there are bunches of tattoos? And snarky commentary? And flirtations? And that one of Zevran's pickup lines right before you invite him to your tent is "do you have something in your tent that needs assassinating?" OMG LOL DYING DED IS AWESOME OMG.

Add in brilliant gameplay, awesome snark, NPCs that are extremely well-fleshed-out and brilliant fight mechanics and this game is a total winner. And obsession-creating. Turning it off so as to sleep is srsly hard to do. But, yeah, I guess it's bed time *stares at xbox360 controller*

He really does. Last night, before I went to bed, he said "but you didn't even get me drunk first". HOMG LOL

It's like they took every single cheeseball pick up line/double entendre they ever thought of and gave it to him. He's AWESOME.

Don't get me wrong, I love love love Alistair, too. But he's only hetero-love interest and, well, I'm playing as a male elf so I can't really tell you how he is as a romance option. This is why I wish mods were allowed on console games. I'd totally download and install that mod and have a zevran/alistair/me sandwich.

There's also a threesome with a pirate lass. HEEEEEE! Yayes for awesomeness!

And, why, Kaalee, I just might have something in my tent that needs assassinating. Why don't you come in and see? *leers*

I LOVE DRAGON AGE SO MUCH. I know froggie also has a massive love for both Alistair and Zevran's sexy shaenanigans as well, heeee.

My faves are Leliana and Alistair. OH AND WYNNE, BECAUSE SHE IS SO MUCH WIN. And Zevran. And Ogren, ahahahah! And Shale (DLC character/story), who's pretty cool. Sten is meh (although if you play a female character, he can kinda falls in love with you, lololol) and really the only character I kinda totally loathe is Morrigan. The second time I played it through, about halfway through the game I told her to bugger off, ahahahah.

OMG I LOVE THAT ALISTAIR IS SUCH A PRUDE. His character cracks me up because he kind of is supposed to be the 'strong, badass best friend/lover' character, but he is REALLY SUCH A LOVABLE LOSER. POOR SENSITIVE BASTARD.

Oooh, suggestion: there's some great running dialogue if you have your Mabari and Wynne with you. Her discussion with the Mabari = THE BESTEST!! And Oghren's dialogue with the Mabari is hilarious as well. :D :D

We just finished playing the new DLC of Leliana's story with Marjolene and ksdjfhakjrhdkfh OMG I JUST I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH. I am prayyyyyyyying that they release more, and soon!

Oh AWESOME! I popped in and commmented on it because dude. YUM!

I love Wynne. I know there's a lot of Wynne hate out there but she's so kindly and old that I can't help but laugh and take what she has to say with a grain of salt. I totally loved the bathing scene, especially. I just don't use her all that often, though, cause she's just no useful to me :(. I'm playing as a mage so I just load up on Alistair, Zevran and Leilana.

OH AND HER CONVO about not getting any sleep at night with the way that Zevran and my character go at it. OMG! I love her!

I thought you could go back for Sten so I didn't rescue him and, well, now he's ded of darkspawn. Oops. Next playthrough is as a female and I'll have to try it out :D

I bought all sorts of DLC cause jesus, this game cannot stop being awesome. I just got the "prepare to be boarded" dialog last night and SO MUCH HAPPY MAKING!

And Alistair! He tries so hard to be such a badass but, dude :D:D:D:D:D HE FAILS SO HARD! I love his reactions to Zevran's discussions because he's just all O.o O.O. He really is a sensitive bastard, isn't he? I couldn't kill the Arlessa because he turned those puppydog eyes on me. And Goldanna GRRRR she hurt the w00bie!

I'm doing the Dwarves next and cannot wait for Oghren! I hear he's a complete drunken sot who is awesome incarnate. I just wish you could have even more people in your party. WHY DO THEY EXPECT ME TO CHOOSE!?

.....there is Wynne hate? No no wait don't tell me! There's a reason why I try not to venture outside into fan forums I don't know, LOLOLOL. I love that she's old and still all "Let me tell you about my sexy times!" that stumps even Zevran, ahaahahah. She's like a fantasy version of a Golden Girl!

LOLLLL yeah, the first time we played it, we messed up and missed out an saving Sten - oops indeed! It didn't make much difference, since I didn't play him.

OMG you are brave to play a mage - I can't staaaand spellcasting in most video games, so if I get a choice I always use a rogue or warrior class to play! But yeah - makes sense why you'd choose tanks and not a spellcaster for your party. Leliana is such an awesome tank. XD

ODKFHSDJKF omg there is that one option where you can choose Loghain and save him...AND IT TOTALLY MAKESE ALISTAIR GET ALL SAD AND LEAVE and we accidentally did that and was like screaming all the way through his pitiful departure!! Fortunately we had saved right before, ahahah!

YAY Oghren is HILARIOUS although the actual Orzammar dungeon hacking plot is like one of the most disturbing I've ever encountered. In a good way. :D *shudders!* HAVE FUN!!

YAYYYY I LOVE THAT YOU LOVE IT!! I hopehopeHOPE they make a second version soon - or a second Oblivion, which I also totally love. :D

This has been on my list of games to play. I recently finished Mass Effect 2, which had great storylines and dialogue (and it's another Bioware game). I'll check out Dragon Age Origins as soon as I'm done Tales of Monkey Island: The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood.

I love Bioware, methinks. I love Jade Empire and KOTOR (my first fandom!!!!) plus they're doing Star Wars: The Old Republic so hopefully that won't get messed up!

I don't really care for first person shooters but was Mass Effect 2 more than a regular shooter game?

There is a shooter element, but a lot of missions involve talking and there's a morality factor as well that has an impact on the ending. The voice acting is also amazing.

ahha, i've been interested in that game since they promoed it last year at comic con by throwing inflatable swords at us. XD And yeah I love the fact that you have the option to sex up a guy. XD So is the mod for so that you can end the game with a male love interest? Cause I always thought you could at least get the one nighter with a guy no matter what.

I'll eventually buy the game, gotta get through my other ones first tho hehe. Fwee, though glad it IS a fun game! ^_^

There are standard gay love interests - Zevran is bisexual so for male/female characters and so is Leilana. So there's a standard lesbian and gay man love interest. BUT - the mod is to change Alistair as a hetero-only love interest into a gay love interest, too. It's freaking awesome.

Alas, it's only for the PC. And as I play in the Xbox, I can't really get it :(

I already bought the part 2 of this game even though I know, going into it, that there's no Zevran :(

Timhas told me that Dragon Age is good, but then again, he thinks a lot of games are good. So I don't know. From what I've seen of it from him playing and the demo, pretty good! :D
