I'm presenting at Terminus on newsletters with a whole host of amazing and brilliant people. However, to help me finish formulating the plan for what my time period is going to be on -

What sort of thing would you all be interested in hearing about? besides my failure to do an update

Are you more interested in the feasibility? What it takes to run one? How we go about picking the recs? What burning questions do you all have?

I wonder if people might be interested in hearing the time commitment related to putting together an issue. You've done HT, so you know it can take anywhere (all total) from two hours to as many as six or seven to put together an issue including fic recs. I imagine you could talk to DS editors to find out what is typical for them -- as well as QR people, because their version is almost exclusively fic & art, so theirs must take a while, too.

Probably other things, too, but that jumped out at me.

questions I used to have about newsletters:
- how do things get picked?
- how do I become an editor?

Also, I love the idea of talking about the process of compiling a newsletter (as you and [livejournal.com profile] kaalee brought up).

Another question would be how you archive, if at all. Do you use the LJ tags, do you memory things? For folks who might have a question that's already been posed as discussion but a while back, sorta thing.
