RL & Fandom Update

wook77I am beyond tired. I worked 24 hours this week at Fry's and am working 30 hours next week. When I walked in last night, the manager pulls me to the side. She then tells me that I'm being promoted as soon as my 30 day probation period is up to nighttime shift supervisor. Um, ok.
I'm getting a raise at the real job (not the part time job) starting next week. That's because I will be overseeing the two employees in the office. That's right. TWO. We just hired someone who really seems to have his shit together. He's taken classes in accounting and he's trying to get his degree. Very nice guy and I'm looking forward to having him.
Have stopped tutoring the neighbor girl. First, her parents tried flattery (her grades are slipping. you need to help her. we desperately need you! you're so good at helping her!). Then, this morning, her parents told me that I need to quit my job so as to continue tutoring their daughter because she's counting on me and I'm letting her down. Huh. Logic train obviously ran them over there. I just laughed and laughed and laughed. They didn't get what was funny about it. It's not like they ever paid me. Hell, they didn't even thank me.

slashfest! Go check it out.There are almost 200 fandoms and 500 requests still open.I promise we have something for you. There's requests in Ugly Betty, the Departed, Four Brothers, Boondock Saints, CW RPS, Supernatural, Harry Potter and Bandom to name a few that I know my flist is interested in.
Did I mention that I'm sleepy? Cause I am. I've been getting 4 hours of sleep a night. Now that I have a night to go to bed early, I can't do it. I'm laying here completely awake. Stupid body.
Have started working on teams forhd_worldcup. I've made about 40 team assignments so far. This is MUCH harder than it looks, let me tell you. I'm excited about the mix of well-known and new people that has occurred so far. I've reworked the schedule for the fifth time but I'm quite satisfied with it now.
I'm less excited about the giant BLOCK inhibiting my valensmut assignment. I had this brilliant idea that I've now shelved because it was one of those "if it works, it will be brilliant. if it doesn't work, it shall suck donkey balls and I'll be laughed out of fandom" sort of ideas. Unfortunately, it was leaning towards the being-laughed-out-of-fandom side. Have come up with another idea that is almost as good.
I finally watched American Gladiators. Is there any Mayhem/Titan slash out there yet? Also, the women gladiators are sort of weak, especially Helga. I'm not so fond of any of them. I'd really like to see them wade in there and kick some ass like they did during the original American Gladiators. I'm also cheering for Moli to go all the way. I like him, he's this little cute short shit. I like Shanay or however you spell her name. She's cute and perky and not annoying. I cheered so loudly when that stupid Bonnie got her ass kicked, she really rubbed me the wrong way. Anyone else watching this show? Anyone else notice that Hulk Hogan's muscles are starting to look funny from all the steroids?
Maybe I'll try this sleep thing again.

And OMG THE GIANT Q-TIPS!!! JOUST!!! YES!!!! It's briliant. Absolutely brilliant.

I'm also not impressed with the females, but Crush is my favorite so far. And MOLI!! God, he had me from the first intro, when he cheekily pushed up his glasses :D :D
