the importance of feedback

After surfing the internet, I went to
emmagrant01's lj and saw that she linked to a wonderful essay on the importance of feedback. After reading the essay, I wanted to recc it to all of you also.
You can find it at
gwyn_r's page here. It really sums up why I try to leave feedback on each and every thing I read, view, like, hate. Letting someone know that you see it, whether you get their vision or not, is important.
The internet is one big faceless mass. You don't know who is out there looking at your stuff. You don't know who is enjoying and who thinks you're shite. Feedback and commentary (even if it's just a quick comment) is important. I don't expect a huge dissertation on the stories, etc, I put out there. I love discussions, of course (debate team captain baby!). But just knowing people are reacting is enough for me.
So, go read the essay and pass it around.
