I had the day from hell yesterday. I ran out at lunch to pick up a few things at Target and my car died. As in doesn't even make a noise when it tries to roll over. So, after about 1/2 hour of random guys asking "whassup", I finally cracked and said..."look, if you don't have jumper cables don't talk to me." Amazing how quickly you can get a jump when you're grumpy.
Got back to work, borrowed a portable jumpkit and headed off to Autozone to buy a new battery. Seems it's not my battery, it's actually my alternator and/or cables. Meaning, that the dealership is the only garage I can find that will handle my car *smites Mitsubishi*. So, I'm bound to be asked to bend over and take it like a man tomorrow when I drive my car up to the shop.
Anyway, so I forgot that the car dies everytime you turn it off and stopped at Circle K. Came out, gave myself a jump and got hit on by a very large woman. We're talking extremely large and scary. We're talking extremely large, scary and smelly. So, I tried to be polite and finally, my frustration with my life peaked and I yelled at her too. I'm really not a nice person...
Had my first night of class last night in almost a year. Had a blast. It's international marketing and I loved it! I absolutely adored my class. There's a cute guy who's on my team. He's really nice. So, we're talking about this learning team project we have to do together and he's walking me to my car. Without breaking the conversation's pacing, I give my car a jump. I noticed that he isn't talking anymore.
He totally looked gobsmacked. I could've hit him with a 2x4 and he wouldn't have reacted. Turns out he's impressed that a girl knows her way around a set of jumper cables. I simply didn't tell him that it took one of the poor guys at work over a 1/2 hour to show me how to use the "portable defribulator" as I call it. I replied to his awe with..."I can check my own oil too." Got a laugh and a coffee date. YAY. So, day was shite but then ended on a semi-good note. We'll see how it goes at the dealership.
For all those KOTOR fans - have you seen
