First - I hate Valentine's Day with their stupid hearts and stupid cards and stupid flowers and stupid love songs. I especially hate flowers. How can someone hate flowers? It's easy - how romantic is it to say "I love you" with something that is going to DIE and DECAY in a few days? That's not reassuring to the lasting nature of the relationship.

Second - Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] jehnt for the virtual flower! YAY for that! Virtual flowers are MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the real stuff cause it's not going to die. *loves*

Third - Romance - yeah, that's a hard prompt. I'm not in a romance type mood. I'm in an angst, no happy-ever-afters type mood. So, [livejournal.com profile] hd_365? You're kicking my tailbone this week. Thank the maker for [livejournal.com profile] anael who sent me a ton of romantic stuff to listen to. Especially as my idea of romantic music right now is the Dixie Chicks "Goodbye Earl".

*uses new trance icon* yeah, that about sums it up.

Although, if you do want a fantastic read - check out [livejournal.com profile] coffeejunkii's series - Broken Glass. I can't be pantsed to find the link because I'm on dial-up and am tired but (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] coffeejunkii for getting me the link)... it's a brilliant read. The whole series is well done and I'm hoping the "The End" at the latest installment meant "the end" of that installment and not of the series.

You're welcome. And, yes, flower I sent won't die. You can save it as a jpeg image to your harddrive and have it until THE DAY YOU DIE, if you wish.

Dixie Chicks = country music = what I excluded when I was looking for romantic songs for you. *g* Which is, of course, about 95% of the music I have. Just so you know.

I'm actually not a big country fan. Dixie Chicks are my exception. I love the Dixie Chicks and I have no clue why.

I adore the music you sent.I started writing the ficlet and your music was very inspirational.

Oooh, but I looove flowers! The real ones are better! Cos it's not what they are going to do in the future that matters (we're all going to die and decay at some point), but the beauty it represents and to learn to enjoy and appreciate the moment *very OOOOMMM type thing :P* I know several other ppl who don't like getting flowers but I doooo <333

You can still get plastic flowers or potted plants *g* But then each to their own ;)

It's more that the flowers are normally used as an affirmation of continuing love and giving something that dies isn't really an affirmation, you know? Then again, I'm a pessimistic sarcastic and bitter bitch when it comes to relationships and romance.

I love getting flowering plants. A friend of mine got me a mini-rosebush when I graduated high school that lasted years. Another friend gets me a stalk of bamboo every year for my birthday and christmas. That makes me smile as well.

I ♥ you, you know. BTW, your new layout? Much love on that. Was over there briefly (boss walked in and I couldn't comment as I needed to shut the screen really fast) today.
