My Resolutions for the New Year
1) Stop setting myself up for failure. I'm not going to resolve to lose weight, exercise more or any of that jazz. It's bullshit I forget after a week.
2) Branch out in pairings. (err, see this post regarding my![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)

3) Comment more. (I comment on almost everything I read/view but lately, I've gone lax in that)
4) Get to Lumos somehow (I can't seem to get a room near the main hotel in Vegas that is anything that I can afford. Anyone want a small wook sleeping on their floor? I don't take up much space, except for my shoes)
5) Get a layout I adore and want to keep for longer than 2 months
6) Finish Voice in the Dark. (Betcha thought I forgot about that, eh? Nope, I've written two more chapters beyond what I've posted but I'm not happy with them)
7) Finish my KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) WiP.
8) Finish my KOTOR:TSL (Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords) WiP.
9) Do more work at work instead of posting stuff like this. (looks like I broke that one already)
10) Finish my bachelor's degree. I'm up to 11 years of working on the sucker. It's about time I finished.
Jade Empire -
I spent my day yesterday quite productively. I've finally started playing Jade Empire (from the same people who put out the good KOTOR game instead of that Sith Lords shite). It's stunning and wonderful. It's also a fairly quick play. I put in about 15 hours yesterday and I'm 50% of the way through. (Can anyone tell me what happens to Sagacious Zu? I've just finished the Assassins bit).
I'm in love with multiple characters. These characters seem to have a fairly great backstory (something that the creators excelled at with KOTOR). I seriously want to snog Sagacious Zu and wish he were one of the love interests. Silk Fox? *ded* cause she's so hot. Dawn Star? *ded* cause I loves her. Sky? Snarky and funny and witty and flirty as well as being hot beyond snogging. Even the Bun-maker guy, the really scary axedude, Mad Kang and that freaky little girl are all cool.
How did I discover that Sagacious Zu wasn't a love interest? There was this fight that I couldn't beat. Gah, I was getting pissed so I looked online for a hint (not a cheat... simply a hint as to the right way to go about the darn thing). Not only did I find the hint (not a cheat), I made the discovery of slash ahoy! So, I'm tempted to restart the game because there is this opportunity to have your male character and Sky the NPC fall in love supposedly. I'm really really tempted to start the entire thing over and end up with a slash-y ending. The only thing keeping me from tossing all my hours of work so far is that I'm already doing a femmeslash ending. (My female character has decided that not only does she love Sky, that Silk Fox chick is pretty hot as well). I may end up with a love triangle and I smile gleefully at it. I will probably post updates to my Jade Empire slash stuff. Then again, I may just write a Jade Empire ficlet. We'll see.
