I participated in [livejournal.com profile] queerditch_pub tonight and that was quite entertaining and challenging.

The below are my scribbles.

Title: Snowflakes
Pairing: Harry/Neville
Rating: G
Summary: Peace is a snowflake on the tongue.

The two stood in the light snowfall, catching icy flakes on their tongues. It was one of his favorite activities, a forbidden one when he was younger and locked in the cupboard.

Now, as he stood with Neville, Harry felt at peace. He hadn't felt this peaceful since before the War, before Dumbledore's death, before, well, ever. He'd always had someone demanding his time, his attention, his actions.

Now, standing peacefully beside Neville, lightly interlocking hands, they caught snowflakes on their tongues and didn't worry about the future. Instead, Neville was undemanding about where they were going, content to just be. It was a change from his last relationship and the one before that and the one before that.

Cutting off that thought pattern, Harry leaned his head against Neville's shoulder.

"Ready to go in?" Neville's voice was soothing to Harry.

"Not yet. We still have a few more to catch." Twin smiles lit their faces as they tilted their heads back.

Title: Plots
Pairing: Regulus/Severus
Rating: PG
Summary: The beginning of the end.

The grass was baked brown. The sun beat down on the two of them as they took off their hoods and robes. The masks had been shucked the first opportunity they'd had.

"You're going to go through with it, then?" Severus was a bit dubious but still asked. He hated to sound so needy but he wanted, needed to know so he could prepare himself.

"Of course I am, Severus. You and I both know that if he succeeds, the world will end. We might not have a choice about our final part in this, but we have a choice now. Are you still going to Dumbledore?" Regulus moved quickly across the dead and dying grass.

"I will. Perhaps it might save your life." Regulus gave a snort of laughter that sent a shockwave of pain and embarrassment down Severus' spine.

"My life was forfeit when I listened to my mother and not my brother." This time, the snort came from Severus. "You might not like him, Snape, but he is fairly smart."

"For a shadowy facsimile of a human, perhaps."

"Your infantile hatred of my brother and his friends will lead you into trouble, Severus. Someday, you shall wish that you didn't have that bitterness. I only wish I would live to see it." The foreshadowing tone sent a frission of alarm through Severus.

"You cannot die, Regulus. We have far too many plans to fulfill." The bark of laughter echoed around the dying glen before Regulus Apparated away.

Title: Tether
Pairing: Sirius/Remus
Rating: PG
Warning: Angst

Staring into the room, Sirius watched, a morose smile on his face, as Remus sat on the edge of the bed. Sirius watched the hands, those long thin fingers, cup that face, old before its time. Remus had always been old, even when they were in Hogwarts together. Without Sirius there to lighten the mood, Remus had aged until his hair was grey throughout.

Aching to touch those scars, cup the cheek, hold a hand, Sirius drifted closer. Just as he reached out, Remus' current lover came into the room. Tonks was a cousin, one of the only ones he'd ever spoken to, if he were honest with himself, and still, Sirius felt a moment's rage. Tonks was an intruder, dammit.

Flinching as she touched a scar, cupped a cheek and held a hand, Sirius hated her, cursed her, cursed his other cousin, cursed the world. All that negative emotion caused him to lose a bit of his tether to the world and he flailed, desperate to regain a connection.

A deep breath, although he had no need of breathing and Sirius regained just a bit, enough to realize that hating Tonks for helping Remus was wrong. Remus deserved happiness, whether it was in the arms of one Black or another.

Energy spent, Sirius thought one last thing before going back to the Void. "Now and forever, my love will be the same, I will be waiting underneath the pouring rain." He didn't see Remus look to where he faded.

Title: Downpour
Pairing: H/D
Rating: PG-13

"This is completely, without a doubt, one hundred percent your fault, Potter. You will fix it and you will fix it now." Soaked to the skin, Draco shuddered to think how close a resemblance to a drowned rat he might have. His hair hung in wet limp locks over his eyes while his robes, spelled to repel water, still allowed moisture to seep through until he was chilled to the bone.

"Malfoy, not even I could change the weather. It's raining, get over it." Draco's temper boiled hotter when Potter crossed his arms and sneered, his own sneer, back at him.

"Potter, let me put things in perspective, hmm?" A small spear of satisfaction broke through his angry mood when Potter pouted. "First, you were the one that picked this little tropical vacation spot. Second, you were the one that picked the dates that we would travel to said tropical vacation spot. Third, you were the SODDING IDIOT that picked this hellhole!"

"Don't you yell at me, you spoilt git!" Enraged further, Draco stomped across the thatched-roof hut until he was a hairsbreadth away from Potter.

"I scarcely believe that it is considered 'spoilt' to expect a stable roof over one's head. This," Draco pointed rudely at the thatched ceiling, "is not stable. This is leaking and I'm bloody well soaked through. I'm freezing and I want to go home." After a pause, he expanded on his demand. "Now."

"It's a downpour out there, Draco. Where are you going to go?" Draco was instantly suspicious of the cajoling tone Harry was using. "What do you want from me for you to stay?"

"I want you to do anything and everything I ask, without hesitation." Harry nodded in agreement.

"Fine, first order of business, fix the damn roof. Second order of business, worship at the altar of Draco." A triumphant smirk passed his lips as Harry grinned back. This tropical paradise might have horrendous weather but that only meant that they were going to spend a lot of time together.

Finally - I'd like to pimp an RPG that I've been following lately. It's called [livejournal.com profile] impropriety_rpg. It's basically just started and already has multiple plot points and pairings. There's a slutty!blaise, an angsty!Daphne, a gossipy!Parvati, a reader!Lavender and the H/D is very cute. Draco is fiercely protective of his Harry and, right now, there is a lot of tension in Slytherin due to the relationship between Harry and Draco. It is an mpreg rpg. The newest player is a Snape that is snarky and slutty and funny. I have much love for this RPG.

I lied - finally, I will respond and make the edits on the last set of prompts tomorrow. I've had a weekend from Hades and do not have the patience to find the mistakes and edit them. I apologize for that and will fix tomorrow.

I completely adored all of these! The mix of pairings was interesting, and I never have read Harry/Neville until now. Scarily enough, you've made me sort of want to go and read a story with them. It was such a sweet little scene.

"Plots" was good, and very interesting. I'd actually like to read a longer, more detailed story with that in there. Maybe with a bit of Regulus/Severus action in there, too!

I absolutely love Sirius/Remus. They're the first slash pairing I've ever read. "Tether" was unbelievably sad, and I loved it. Again, I'd like to see that manifest into a larger story.

Ah, and then we have Harry/Draco. They're so refreshing. :-D "Downpour" was so completely "them". It was fantastic, and made me smile. Gotta love 'em!

You're really expanding your horizons! It's great, and you've inspired me to want expand mine, as well (I usually stick with one or two pairings and that's it). We'll see if I actually will, though. That's the key: doing it. Chocolate-chip shortbread cookies for you, Wook!!

Harry/Neville is my second OTP. If Harry can't have Draco then he can have Neville *grins*. There are some wonderful Harry/Neville fics out there.

Plots was interesting to write (but then I started it with only 10 minutes to go so that's why it's so short) I'd really like to expand on it. We'll see as I started a bunch of projects.

I adore Sirius/Remus. They were the first non-H/D I read and really enjoyed.

I'm enjoying the expansion. It's a challenge and I adore a challenge. Yeah, choco-chip shortbread cookies!!!!!

Yeah, it was a sad prompt that I just had to write (I turned down a H/D for it)

I do adore the pompous git. Draco = have-to-work-at-it-love

A sequel to 'Downpour' would not go unappreciated!

I thought of you the other day; I got a BK kid meal with a Wookiee in it! *laughs*

*giggles* I may have to get rid of my fast food ban to get a wookiee happy meal.

I'll have to think about the sequel and see which of the remaining prompts would work with it.

I'm glad you're enjoying.

I hadn't thought of it until the prompt came up. They would be cold and formal and just absolutely perfect. I'm really liking that pairing now. I went out and read a few fics last night with that pairing.

These are great little drabbles. I'm impressed you put them together in 20 minutes. The Remus/Sirius hurt my heart just a little bit, but some fluffy H/D mends it nicely.

I'm curious what the theme for the evening was?

Some of them, I put together in less than 10 as I was too busy chatting to write.

I didn't get to participate as this weekend was crazy for me.

The theme for the evening was weather.
