Gah. Today? Longest. Day. Evah.
Spent the day cleaning so that carpet guys could come in and work their magic. That means, I had to box up crap, actually clean up from under my bed and tackle Mount Closet.
End result: 8 hours of sorting, shredding, bagging, rinse and repeat. 7 garbage bags of shreds/trash and 2 bags of clothing/misc. stuffs to donate. Does it look like I got rid of 7 bags of trash? Nope. For a paperless society, we sure have a lot of the crap, don't we? I found bank statements from 1996 and duplicate check records from 1993. I've no idea why I had them but they're gone now.
My dad took all the fam out to dinner where I promptly fell asleep in the car.
No fic, two days behind... will spam flists later to catch up.
How are all of you? Please tell me you had more exciting weekends.
Off to go pass out...

Date: 2006-12-11 05:19 am (UTC)Well, being in rural Victoria, and living way up the side of a hill I couldn't see the valley for most of the weekend as it was covered in smoke. We are having one hella big bushfire across the state.
Other than that - I got some more writing done, your fic is coming but it's got this life of its own and I'm just letting it take me wherever the boys want to go. I keep re-re-reading it and editing as I go, cutting pasages out and adding new bits - it's some kind of monster... but I am beating it (ie: it's doing what it wants) into shape.
*crosses fingers*

Date: 2006-12-11 03:45 pm (UTC)GAH - see I thought... there isn't much out of these boxes I'll keep as I haven't looked through them in 3 years (at least). I found old photographs that sent me down memory lane and I also might have shredded photos of an ex-boyfriend.
Today? It feels like the universe is shining down upon me. I had a perfect drive in and I'm cutting our holiday "gift" checks so an extra check for me later this week! YAYES!!!!

Date: 2006-12-11 05:27 am (UTC)And thanks to you, my Saturday was thrown a bit out of whack. *glares. mildly.* Can't be too upset, though, as I've found a new obsession. I read your post about deanandseamus, and decided to have a look. Just a few minutes, I said. Ha. I read a couple entries and was hooked, so I had to go back to the beginning and work my way forward. Fortunately, the cleaning I should have done yesterday was kind enough to wait until today. Lucky me. :)

Date: 2006-12-11 03:48 pm (UTC)I can't say that I'm upset about that at all. That RP is just amazing, isn't it? *cheerleads* It's hot and just drags you in and makes you so very happy for it.
Good luck on your cleaning! When I get home, I should have doghair free carpet (that'll last about 15 minutes).

Date: 2006-12-11 11:18 am (UTC)Also planning the huge amount of fandom to-do that needs doing by January. Which is less fun and highly daunting.
