Although all stories may not be posted chronologically, there is an arc that will be updated weekly until completed. As always, I'd love to hear what you all think, concrit welcomed with open arms.

Parvati found herself watching for Creepy Creevey. It became an obsession with her. She'd stare at him in the hallways, watch as he made his way to and from class or the Great Hall or the library. He was always alone, even when he was walking with his brother.

Her empathy and her curiosity combined into a resolve to change his aloneness. No one could be happy being that alone. She watched and she studied and she noticed his glances towards Harry and Ron, she saw the envy that rested behind the apathetic gaze. She saw the want in his eyes as Dennis went off with a group of friends, leaving him alone in the common room.

It didn't take much talking to convince Demelza Robbins that Colin was someone worth knowing. She fancied herself a matchmaker and the younger girls listened to her advice. After all, Parvati Patil might have been treated horribly at the Yule Ball by Harry Potter but she had still ended up his date.

Whispered practice conversations in the common room and advice on how to best place oneself to catch an eye took about a month before Demelza finally spoke to Colin. Although he didn't smile or do anything other than nod in acceptance of whatever it was that she'd offered, Parvati knew that Colin was happier.

The small twinge had to be the feeling of success of another match. It had nothing to do with the idea that it was someone else making Colin happy and diminishing his aloneness.
