Finish to Start - Deamus NC-17.
Summary - In which Dean Thomas has a vivid imagination and draws a picture. A relationship in reverse.

Ok - first reaction when I read the warnings - oh god, not again. Not another artsyfartsy stupid incomprehensible story**. Not another story where the names could be lola or harry or boba fett. Please Lord, you would not be that cruel.
** - when I say artsyfartsy stupid incomprehensible story, I do not mean the one you think I mean. In fact, you probably have no idea what frelling story I'm speaking about. Please don't assume that whatever story you think this might be about is the right one or even *GASPSHOCKAMAZEMENT* the right fandom. Have you seen my userinfo? Have you seen how many fandoms I participate in? Cryptic much on this? Yep. I'm just tired of people assuming they know what story I'm speaking about.
He wasn't. Christ on crutches but this is lovely. There was only one phrase that made me a bit squeamish and that was "Seamus's meaty cock" but, seriously, out of the entire thing? That's awesome.
The story is a unique format, told back to front, end to beginning, and, at first, I thought that each scene might be just dreams that Dean has and that they don't actually end up together but then it worked and their first meeting? PERFECT. Dean is soooo w00bie without being over the top in that first meeting and just go read it.
The focus is on Dean and art and the relationship reflected in the art and it works. It's not over the top and it's not patronising or obscure. It's unique and gorgeous.
Then there are the kinks. The Irish is lovely, Seamus cursing and Dean laughing at him just works for me. There's also the wall!sex and that's lovely and then!!!!!!!!!! There's biting. Just omg, biting and wall!sex! Also, the smut isn't over the top, it's not in your face and the only focus of the story. That right there? plot!kink!!!!
I'm also in love with the vividness of the words and scenes. This author painted the scenes like she had a paintbrush. So very lovely. It's vivid and works.
The author takes for granted that we know certain things about Seamus and Dean and I love that as well. I love that she doesn't give every sodding detail of their relationship. I love that she just lets the reader fill in the blanks (a favourite thing of mine to do).
I want to love her and hug her and name her george for this story.
