Pimping this here as well as I know a few of you are in rpgs and might not be aware...

rpg_prophet is a weekly newsletter (posted every Sunday) that follows a certain number of games.

We're increasing the number of games we're watching and we're hosting a poll here about it.

Some of the contenders include - biscuitarsed, hex_files, rpg_afterglow and a ton more.

I got sent home from work today for being sick. It seems that my boss doesn't much appreciate me being super queasy and stuffs. He acted like it was catching and I didn't really want to explain to him that it was due to my female bits and not anything contagious.

I did get to take a 3.5 hour nap today and get paid (regular time, not even my vacation time!!!) for it. That was really nice, let me tell you. It felt almost decadent to be sleeping while knowing that the rest of the world was working. My boss wanted me to call by 5:30 but I was still sleeping at the time, so that didn't happen. I left him a voicemail that he won't get until I'm in tomorrow morning but I did try.

I have my annual review tomorrow. I don't think it'll go well mainly because - during my self-review today? I totally forgot what I'm supposed to do all day. Um, err, oops? I ended up having to look at the job description for my position. I was shocked to see that "write porn about fictional characters" isn't on the job description. Then again - neither was "watch movies with the volume turned down really low when boss is on vacation". Shockingly enough, there wasn't any mention of "play computer games while chatting about how much you dislike SLL's incompetency (mocking SLL when applicable)" either. My job description is completely inaccurate.

ETA: RANT!!!! ARGH!!!! Ok, so while trolling about, I went to the moderator of the harrydraco comm's journal boggart and she has one entry and it says... "goodbye :)". I know that there were a bazillion volunteers to help take over that comm when she decided harry/draco wasn't for her but WHAT THE FUCK. She just LEFT that comm with no one to moderate it... NO FUCKING ONE. How completely and totally TWUNTISH can one get? OMG, I am soooooooooo boggled and rantified over this. There are 3000 members and she can't find one or two or five people to take over for her? How about the 5 people that volunteered on her lj? What about all the people that have fucking emailed her?

I do not get people that do not have enough of a sense of responsibility to give over a comm when they lose time for it, especially one as large as harrydraco.

i think you should get an excellent review considering that you are acoomplishing a whole range of tasks that aren't even listed in your job description :D.

Grrrrrrrrrr... she just left it? I mean, it's her comm so she CAN but... rar. When I didn't have time for the comm I had, I found new maints right away!

dude, i wish i worked where you worked. I went in yesterday, still sick and miserable and more than likely contagious and my supervisors just made sure I maintained a safe distance away from everyone else.

I just seriously do not get it at all. I know about 5 people on my flist that volunteered to take it over on a group basis.

I really think I should as well. Obviously I have excellent time management skills *nods*. Though, really, they're horrible as I'm clearly getting paid to do a job that I could do in half the time and I really should be stepping up for extra duties instead of writing porn.

She's still listed as maintainer but she was never active in the almost two years I've been a member there. When there was the whole "ZOMG HATE FIC SEARCHES" thing going on, I know that a bunch of people asked to help her out with it and she didn't let them. Now, she's deleted her entries and left one journal entry that doesn't allow for comments.

You are LOADS more responsible than this person. GAH, I'm so boggled by it that I can't even be pissed because the utter irresponsibility just kills my brain dead.

There isn't a way to get someone else as a maintainer without her doing it, is there?

I really don't get people at all. If you're going all "goodbye cruel internetz" - then give over your large comms at least. It's not like she didn't have a bazillion people volunteering to help out at the comm since august.

rpg_afterglow should be there! And Dean and Seamus should talk ...or something more interesting ;) (Also, I don't know who plays Neville, but I love him).

Enough of babbling, I hope you get better and your boss should let you sleep during work more often! :D
