wook77: (Deamus with Seamus)

I've not done a rec post in awhile but I have to say... I just read THE most perfect story in the entire universe. OK, maybe not the entire universe but in my corner of the world? GAH, PERFECTION, seriously.

This is the sort of story that I wish I could write. It had me stunned and flailing from about five sentences in. From there, I fell in love and omg, I want the reveal at [livejournal.com profile] merry_smutmas to be NOW NOW NOW so I can find out who wrote it!

What Seemed Like Ages - Written for [livejournal.com profile] scoradh. It's Harry/Seamus and Dean/Susan and Dean/Seamus and here's the summary -

In the face of a current project at the Ministry, Seamus and Dean's relationships fall apart.

Dude, the summary doesn't begin to tell the story. I shan't share the details because I want to force you all to go read it.

Moving on away from shameless fangirling (and I'm mildly embarrassed at the level of squee), I'm housesitting at the house from hell (the one with no technology? yeah, that one) through Christmas so updates and flist checking shall be sporadic. I'm going to be posting pix of my puppies on Christmas Eve or Christmas depending on when I make it home but until then?

Happy Holidays to all!

You have no idea what this means to me -- it was a long road to this story, and in the midst of the comment dearth, it's nice to know that it affected someone so deeply. Thank you.

I don't think anyone but a few people on my flist know how much I needed to read a story like this yesterday and GAH, you provided it. The flailing isn't because of that need but because of the story itself.

Like I said, I'm mildly embarrassed over the long rambling comment as I normally attempt to be more coherent than that (or at least remember how to spell). I do know it's intimacy and not intimicy, I promise.

To show you that I can be coherent (and, ok, it took 5 readthroughs) -

It was concise and told just enough. What it didn't say or have the characters say is even more to me. The way you showed their feelings through their actions and the way they treated each other, that gripped my heart and brain and then made me fall in love with you.

I have no idea who you are but, like I said, if I don't already read your works, please prepare to be stalked. I can find letters of reference from current stalkees that show that I'm not creepy (I hope...).
