I'm glad you decided to share - and I love that it's so close to canon. Often, that's what really works for me in HP fic. Quite a lot of the time HP fic, no matter the pairing, has absolutely nothing to do with canon and I end up wondering whether I'm just reading some nonsense AU in which the characters' names are the same as those in HP because the fic certainly doesn't reflect much of JKR's verse.
Well, I've read 4 or 5 H/D fics so far. For the most part they've been so so, but not really spectacular. I finished one earlier today that had amazing Draco characterisation, but was one of those where I'm kind of going "Huh? Is this even HP fic? There's not enough detail from the HP verse for me to believe this." I'll gladly take any recs you want to throw my way.
