1.) Kobayashi Maru. Blah blah blah. Still not cheating, no matter what Spock says.

2.) Jim is a serial monogamist. It's something completely different than a cheater or a guy that leads people on. Jim is committed to each and every one of his partners for however long each and every one of them last. That they only last a day or two, sometimes only hours and, ok, there had been that girl that had lasted about ten minutes but that's not something he likes to talk or think about, but still. He'd been committed to each of them and he clearly had broken up with them before he had moved on to the next. Serial monogamy is the way to go.

3.) It's not cheating to slip on to the Enterprise. It's totally not. It's creativity. Besides, it was Bones that did it. Not him. So if anyone cheated, it's Bones.

4.) It's also not cheating to use the other Spock's information against his Spock and get to be captain. He deserves to be captain. The other Spock agrees. Needs must and all that. Not cheating. It's using the skills and information that one has available to one.

5.) So what that he makes captain faster than anyone ever. It's not cheating to make sure that the Admirals are all well aware of how he had saved their asses and the entire planet. Totally not cheating to keep pointing that little factoid out, either.

6.) And, ok. So he totally and completely cheated that night. He had. He's not ashamed of it, either. The fact is that he needs Bones naked just like he needs air or water or sex. A naked Bones is one of the greatest things ever. In fact, it's better than sliced bread. So he totally cheated. So fucking what? Besides, Bones is his longest lasting relationship of any sort (other than the one he has with his mother and thanks a lot for putting his mother in the same mental image as Bones naked. He's not going to be scarred for life or anything). He's not going to fuck this up and if he has to cheat to keep it, he will. Them's the breaks.
