wook77: (pr0n threesome)

It took me until skip400 without comms on my flist but I finally caught up on the flist. Have been sort of participating in the flist. Really, Heroes is eating my brain and I worked 70 hours this week so far. I have an 8 hour shift today. *sighs*

I take my car in for the estimate on the body damage later this morning. Remember my accident? Yeah. Friday the 13th can bite me.

Did I mention Heroes is eating my brain? I've downloaded what I can of Season 3. Will start watching that Sunday with my sister. Anyone have any recs for good icon makers? I'd love a couple of funny/snarky/sexy Matt/Mohinder icons.

X-Men in like 2 weeks. *flails* Am going with a friend of mine and then my sister the next day. Cannot. Fucking. Wait.

Also - I keep seeing this on the flist and it boggles my brain. People are stressing out over keeping up at [livejournal.com profile] hd_worldcup. Why? Read what you like. You don't have to read every entry. I just don't get where the stress level is coming from for this or any fest. If it doesn't appeal, there's no law stating that you have to read everything a fest has to offer.

Finally - [livejournal.com profile] chaeldub wrote (and photographed) what it was like to be caught in the fires down under. here is the post. It's scary and heartrenching (and scary. Did I mention the scary? Cause it was scary). On an aside, if you're looking for an awesome person, he's your dude. I highly recommend friending :D.

As one of my newest friends, you will have the distinct pleasure of me forcing all my fanworks on you, starting with [livejournal.com profile] tiptoe_icons. LOADS of Matt/Mo icons there. Absolutely loads. Enjoy them!

:D

EEE!!! I just finished your stories, btw. I have to formulate responses that don't consist of GAH <3 Also - Circus fic? Are you still planning on continuing that? I love Matt the Lion Tamer.

I'm actually finding it the easiest to keep up with compared to other previous fests. There's nothing else going on (like in December) that I'm trying to keep up with, the number of fics per day isn't too high, and the wordcount seems pretty balanced. Granted, I'm in the midst of job-hunting, so I'm not doing that much else right now, other than try to write.

Unrelated question - if [livejournal.com profile] lusiology and I create a recs comm for original GLBT fic (print, e-book and online) would you have any interest in participating as a reccer?

Oh cool, that's good to hear. I just keep seeing people stressing over it and it's really just sort of boggling. I've never felt this need to keep up with any fest and read all the works. So, um, yeah. Maybe it's just me or something :/

I love that you mentioned the wordcount thing as we worked really hard on that bit, especially.

Oh sure! But there sort of is one out there already - [livejournal.com profile] gay_bookclub. Would yours be different than that one? (edited for underscore failure)

I'll check out the comm - I know we want to do something different from [livejournal.com profile] the_slash_pile...

sorry - I should have checked the comm first and then commented.

Yes, it would be different. So far all the comms we've found allow self-recs, and the reviews of other author's works seems to be of the squee variety. We want more detailed reviews, similar to [livejournal.com profile] epic_recs where the reviewers explain why you may or may not like the story.

We're still hammering out the details, but thank you for pointing me to [livejournal.com profile] gay_bookclub. The comm seems decent, but contains a lot of posts of "buy my book".

You!!!! Seriously know how to make a guy feel good, don't you.

Herous, really enjoyed it. Superheroes rock esp ones with issues. My housemate and I work really wierd hours so we watch a lot of TV shows on dvd as well. Just finished Terminator: SCC S01 and Gossip Girl S01 (I know GG but he bought it and the guys are really, um, gorgeous.)

X-Men!!!! I am Hungry like the Wolverine. Can't wait.

Oh Heroes. You are shiny shiny crack. I'm really enjoying it still. I'm in the third season now.

Wolverine is definitely flail worthy. But gossip girl? Oh Chael *sad shake of head*

I know, I know... but I can't help it - I need an intervention because it's like crack.

To counter balance that i've been downloading Kings which is very good.

Still *shakes head in agreement* GG what was I thinking?
