You know what makes me happy? Shoes.
Thus - a picspam of some shoes I've recently bought, my house we're currently building and my faux-hawk plus an obligatory dog photo at the end. (and yes, I'm still in a craptacular mood)

blech, sneakers. But, with new sneakers, I can start working out again as my old sneakers blew chunks and had no support in them. Also - these are pink - which makes me cringe but hopefully that'll only inspire me to lose weight even faster to get the pink monstrosities off my feet quicker.

These sandals are the most comfortable things evah. I seriously walked around a mall for HOURS and had no problems in them whatsoever.

These heels are sexy. I am currently wearing them right now and I immediately feel sexier and more put together in them. I love and adore the squared-off toes. It took me an hour to decide on these over another pair with pointy toes. Totally worth it.

These kicky little shoes hurt like a mofo. I have blisters and pain from wearing them for a few hours. However, I bought moleskin stuffs to line the inside of the straps and that will, hopefully, cure the issue. They're fun and funky though with the little tweed sort of pattern on them.

My new house!!!! We got the mortgage thing figured out (gee golly gosh, we were right and they were wrong in trying to charge us an extra 90k over the contract price. How odd and unexpected *eyeroll*).

Faux-hawk from the side.

Faux-hawk from the front along with a stupid grin.

Faux-hawk from the front at a different angle to really show the "hawk" part.

Obligatory dog photo.
I got an email from DSW that my first rewards certificate is on its way to me. I've only been part of the rewards program for three weeks. Some people have crack, some people have coke, I have shoes. My mom insists that crack would be a cheaper habit to have.

Date: 2007-04-30 08:30 pm (UTC)Second -- that house is gorgeous!!!
Thirdly -- how on earth do you get your hair to behave like that? I could put like half a bottle of hairspray in mine and it would be sticky and still not do what I want it too!!

Date: 2007-04-30 08:34 pm (UTC)As far as getting the hair to behave, I use "root boost" before hand and then blow dry my hair so that it stands up by itself (it's all in how you comb it as you dry it. I push it all to the center and hold it there).
I agree on the shoes thing! I'm back up to about 100 pairs right now and I dread having to purge some to move. My goal is to get down to 75 pairs when I move. I have quite a few with broken straps and such that I keep meaning to have fixed and I might just get rid of them instead.

Date: 2007-04-30 08:37 pm (UTC)OMG SHOES... *flails*
I do not have a lot of space, so I need to behave myself. My bankaccount is ever so grateful though *winks* A shoestore only comes second to a bookstore... *sighs*

Date: 2007-05-01 05:49 pm (UTC)And aren't they? That photo doesn't have kuka in it but that's ok, it was just too w00bie to have the three of them together on the couch, especially as Nala and Cisco don't really get along very well.

Date: 2007-05-01 04:18 am (UTC)wow, that's a big house. and a huuuuuge garage--is that a standard size for where you live?
your hair cut is quite awesome :D.

Date: 2007-05-01 05:51 pm (UTC)The sneakers are pink though :(. But, they were the most comfortable pair available so I went with that.
The house is about 3000 square feet and the car is a standard 2 car garage. It's bigger than average for down here. We're currently living in a 1700 sqft house which is about average for here.
Thanks!!!! I love it when it works!!!
