wook77: (star trek: Sanity is relative)
I'm sitting at the Phoenix airport with free wi-fi (w00t!) and writing and trying to keep awake until I get on the first plane. I'm off to see [livejournal.com profile] elanorofcastile and barely miss seeing [livejournal.com profile] enchanted_jae. The first is w00t, the second is *sadface*.

We'll be heading to Trekfest in Riverside Iowa. Anyone else going? Want to meet up?

I'm really looking forward to a relaxing trip. I figure if I get less than 10 calls from work while I'm on vacation will mean that it's a relaxing trip. I get to log in and work on homework and work during the trip but that's all right. I can deal with remote log in. It's the calling while I'm doing something fun that annoys me.

There are small children on my flight. Thankfully, I'm in an exit row this first flight so that means no kids right next to me. And leg room. Speaking of legs, the last time I flew, I ended up having painful swelling for days afterwards. This time, I have really ugly compression socks on to relieve the swelling and improve the circulation. Even before flying, my legs feel better. It's weird not to feel like a bursting water balloon for my legs. So this is how the rest of you guys feel with your legs? Sort of normal and functioning?

Dear PHX Airport, you ever think about putting outlets near a comfy chair rather than next to the trashcans where you have to sit on the floor? My ass is numb and I've only been sitting here for about 20 minutes. It's just a thought but considering your tagline is "America's Friendliest Airport", you might want to take it under advisement. <3, me

ETA: They keep paging Bobby Brown and all I can keep thinking is that he's probably in the bar drinking or beating up Whitney somewhere. And, I could be wrong, but I think Phoenix is where Whitney got pulled over for DUI.
