I normally get the best ideas in the shower. Or in the car. Or as I'm drifting off to sleep. Or somewhere that I'm absolutely unable or unwilling to write them down.

The other morning in the shower, I thought, just for a moment, of dressing as Zombie!Tonks at Terminus. This is probably a Very Bad Idea. But it's one that won't leave my head. It'd be complete with babydoll with bright purple hair. Someone tell me this is a bad idea, plz?

In other news, I signed on for a panel regarding newsletters and fandom after LJ's asshattery. I'm really excited about it as it has quite a few of my most favoritest people ever on it.

I bought new clothes yesterday at the Macy's closing sale. We have this mall here in town that is dying slowly and the Macy's there is closing. So,they had a 60% off sale and I got 4 blouses, 2 skirts and a pair of trousers. Of those, only 2 items (one blouse and the pair of trousers) are for work at Fry's which was the entire reason we went in there.

Finally weighed myself and it seems that I have lost 10 lbs since starting at Fry's. I guess all that walking about and lifting of shampoo is doing something for me. Now if I could cut out the giant cupcakes for dinner, I bet I'd be doing better. mmmm, giant cupcakes with inches of frosting on the top.

Continuing in the theme of "random movies I've watched that I've seen before" recs - Has anyone seen The Magdalene Sisters? It's a movie set within the Magdalene Laundries in Ireland. Absolutely heartwrenching and wonderfully done. The cinematography is very artistic and the stories are divine. The girls aren't perfect, they're bitchy and they're broken but that makes it all the more wonderful. I'm in love with this movie though I will admit that it's one that you have to be in the mood for.

ETA: OMG IJ STOP BEING ROBUST! I want to see my giftart at valensmut, damn you! GIVE ME THE PRECIOUSSSSSSS!

Zombie!Tonks?! OMG, that's not a bad idea AT ALL. As a matter of fact... At Sectus, we were all so dead by Sunday that I was remarking that we should have dressed as inferi for the day. And since then, I've been seriously contemplating putting together a band of roving inferi for the last day of Terminus. If, you know, anyone is interested... ::cough::

OMG it is one of the bestest movies ever. It really is just so awesome with the way that it humanizes the girls but shows their faults and you still sympathize with them.
