Jun. 30th, 2007 09:35 pmAced my exams, got an "A" in the class. Boooooyeah. Good thing I can function on very little sleep at times.
Just because I'm a glutton for punishment, I've signed up for two classes in the fall. One is "Judaism, Christianity, Islam" and the other is "Religion and Pop Culture". Then, in the spring, I should be starting back at University of Arizona for 3-4 classes a semester.
Packrat tendencies paid off - a bunch of the books that I need for these classes, I already have from various other classes. I was going to donate a few of them. For example, my copy of the Koran. I didn't think I really needed it and then I remembered V for Vendetta and decided that everyone needs a copy of the Koran and kept it.
Went to Ikea yesterday and OMG - way too much money spent. Thank God for mum's credit card. I bought shelving and organizers to get some of this crap out of boxes and looking sort of nice. I've also spent the day unpacking, hanging ceiling fans and, generally, cleaning crap up. House feels nicer since I got that stuffs done.
Bit of advice - if the light has insulation in it, don't buy it. Seriously. Think of the poor schmuck who has to take it down. Do you really want insulation dust raining down on their face and slicing it up to hell and back? What do you need insulation in a light for anyway? That shit is flammable! You really don't need it up there with lightbulbs that might explode and then catch the insulation on fire.
So, um, I take it you all aren't big Boondock Saints fans? Not even the ones that profess to be? Cause, um, not to sound needy but I posted 7500 words of a Boondock Saints fic and three of you have read it and only 1 has commented. Just saying.........

Date: 2007-07-01 02:27 pm (UTC)And yeah, the religion and pop culture is all about how religion influences pop culture and always has. So, it's a combo history class and religion class.

Date: 2007-07-01 02:29 pm (UTC)Now in all seriousness, I woke up this morning, saw the comment from awhile back asking about the third. On July 3rd, the Knight Bus is coming to Phoenix and I was going to go up and take a gander. Thought it might be fun to meet up :).
