wook77First, hello to all my new SW friends from the Star Wars Friending Frenzy. Welcome to my journal.
My name is wook. No, really, friends IRL and online call me wook. The nickname came because I really am a girl with an interesting growl. When I was in college, I had a roommate that drove me nutso so I would growl all the time. Friends got to saying I sounded like a wookiee and the nickname has stuck since then.
I'm 28, work as the payroll coordinator for the local Humane Society ad am a crusading do-gooder. I occasionally post about work issues and you might learn more about the realities of an animal shelter than you've ever wanted to know. I also have 4 humane society dog's so I post about them as well. (as I say - I don't have children, I have dogs)

allison77. With that journal name, obviously my real name is Allison. You can call me Allison, Al or wook just don't call me Allie or I will rip your arms out of their sockets.
I like random shit. Like SW easter egg outfits at Target. Like police blotters with people with SW names. I love when people find this stuff and share it with me. I've been told I can be intimidating but I'm really not. I'm fairly funny and I adore to laugh.
Loves:
Wedge Antilles. He is my absolute favorite character. Before Wedge got his own action figure, I would post lengthy rants about it on myspace. Now that he has his own action figure, I have three of them prominently displayed in my house.
The OT. The first movie I ever saw was SW:ANH. I was in utero when my parents took my brother and sister for the first visit. I was a month old baby when they took my brother and sister for their 50th visit. (OK, maybe a slight exaggeration, but I did see it as a teeny baby.) I grew up playing with my brother's toys and playing SW with my brother. We would run around with our lightsabers and dress up in the costumes and, well, nothing much has changed in the many years since.
The games. I bought a Gamecube just for the Rogue Squadron games. I bought an Xbox just for Battlefront. I love video games and SW video games are the best. KOTOR pwns me. KOTORII semi-pwns me. Battlefront II is an obsession of mine. Galaxy at War is quickly becoming an obsession. (err, see the icon)
The post-RotJ EU. I love EU because I can really use my imagination and get to know the characters. I love the books up until Vector Prime. I really think that killing off Chewbacca just for the ability to get people to start buying the books is bullshit. I stopped reading after the Vong got super annoying. I'll stick with re-reading the X-Wing series.
