I'm feeling a bit blah today. Went and saw "Eight Below" with my best friend K. Well, it was not what I was expecting. After all, it's a Disney movie. I wasn't really expecting all the crying that I did during the movie. It hit me especially hard due to recent canine events in my life.

Went over to K's house and had dinner with her and her folks. Dinner was fun and K's dad finally cooked my burger the way I like it (no moo'ing please. Blood is not my thing when it comes to meat). Then, we watched "Domino". It was a confusing clusterfuck of a movie, quite honestly. That being said - I've fallen desperately in love with Edgar Ramirez. Just google him in images and you'll be all drool-i-rific about him as well.

Is he not yummy? He's also well educated and stuff. *drools*



Got home and applied for a character over at hp_bb at anael's urging. Not sure if I'm going to get the character or not but it was fun considering how I would play him/her. I already know my "pb" or played by.

I've taken on a couple of "pinch hitter" stories for a fic exchange or two. I also have no inspiration for statler and waldorf for hp_crossovers. Then again, I'm brimming with ideas for a long multi-chaptered h/d story that I've been madly typing at for weeks. I'm over the 20k mark now with no end in sight. I'm not going to start posting it until it's complete, however.

I've decided not to go to Lumos. The reason is simple - I can't afford to go to Lumos AND the San Diego Comic Con. I've been invited to host a lecture-ish type thing at Comic Con so I'm going to that instead. Anyone around that might be going to that? I'm also going to Coachella - anyone going to that? I'd love to meet up and hang out.

   Yeah, semi-self explanatory. I love her kick-assness. I love how kinky the series is. I love the vampires and werewolves and cosmic shit that Anita goes through.
2. dead like me:
   Dead Like Me was a wonderful tv series that had a character by the name of George. George is me, basically. She didn't give a shit in life and neither do I, really. Then again, George was killed by a flying toilet seat from the space station Mir and I haven't been so perhaps we're not as alike as I thought.

   Jesus, another tv series? Guh. Anyway, Farscape was an awesome tv series in its first two seasons. After that, it got really fucking annoying having all Scorpius all the time. I much prefer Bialar Crais, thank you very much.

   I didn't know I had this listed as an interest. Hmmm, so no idea.
5. kotor:
   KOTOR. My first fan fiction foray into fandom. KOTOR stands for Knights of the Old Republic and is a video game. Wel, not just any video game but a kick ass awesome one. That game sucked me in and hasn't spit me out yet.
6. nymphadora tonks:
   I love Tonks. I love Remus/Tonks. I'm ok with admitting it. If your ship has to be canon, I'll ship Remus/Tonks out of all of them.
7. politics:
   It was one of my majors in college and is a huge "thing" for me now. I love debating politics. I'm a left-wing liberal. I hate both parties in the US almost equally. The Republicans are Satan in disguise whereas the Democrats are spineless morons. Either way, the poor in the US are getting fucked up the ass and paying for the privelege.
8. sandis ozolinsh:
   Greatest.Hockey.Player.Ever. Ok, maybe not. But he is one of the top scoring defensemen in the NHL. He kicks ass and takes names.
9. sunglasses:
   This was in as a joke. In college, I took summer classes. I had a series of classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Well, by the end of the day, I was gaurunteed to have at least three pairs of sunglasses on my head. I still make sure I own at least five pairs. I buy them at the dollar stores, target, goodwill or anywhere cheap (other than the great white devil that is wal-mart. I'm quite proud to say that I haven't bought anything from wal-mart in years).
10. volunteering:
    Err, again - fairly self explanatory. I volunteer for the Humane Society as a dog-walker, I build houses with Habitat for Humanity, I counsel runaways and victims of abuse for a children's home (can't mention it as its confidential due to the nature of its business), I'm a Big Sister, etc.

volunteering is a good interest... I have a habit of pretending it's a burden because I never actually volunteer, my mum say's I'll do it LOL. But yah enough about me, your volunteering actually seems to make a difference. Habitate for Humanity, Humane Society, Runaways and victims of abuse etc, that's all worthy and noble work. And I have to say I'm actually rather impressed by reading that.

yeah, he's sexy alright. He's political, caring and involved as well. Add that that he can whisper naughty things in five languages... well, you get why I'm all a-twitter about him.

I try to stay involved with the community. Otherwise, I'm just blowing hot air and smoke up people's arses. I actually do a bit more but those are the main time consumers.

Ooooh, Coachella looks like it's gonna be fun this year. Ladytron, Cat Power, Devendra Banhart, the Walkmen, Deerhoof, Matisyahu, Wolf Parade, Dungen, and all those other people. *wishes she could go* I MIGHT be going to the San Diego ComicCon though. I don't know yet, but I've been tentatively planning on it. I have a scary love of comic conventions.

Also, hiiiiiii fellow politics-lover! Also, good to know that I'm not the only crazy person who hates both parties. Seriously. I mean, I have slightly less hate for the Democrats, who at least don't give me the heebie-jeebies when I think about them, but still.

Yay, I'm so glad you applied for hp_bb. I don't know if I'll get any parts either. I applied for a few characters in hopes that I'd get to play at least one, but even if I don't... I'm totally watching it.
