This Boondock Saints YouTube video got linked in the norman_daily comm and it's the screen test. Too awesome, especially the overly dramatic head tosses where the hair flips just ever so artfully. Plenty of lovely shirtless hots as well. It also has Norman Reedus almost deep-throating a gun.

Watched Blade 2 with the fam last night and I really liked Norman in that movie. But, I've noticed something - he's always touching his fucking face. Like always covering his mouth or something. Maybe I'm just obsessed too into my pbs for the rpgs.

And - because I didn't want to post three times yesterday, my reactions from last night's The Black Donnellys -


It was much better than the week before, wasn't it? Loads of stuff happening, Dokey being a dick, UST between Kate and Tommy and Jimmy not constantly shooting up and/or being a dumbass.

Here's the part that's going to get me tossed out of fandom as a slasher – I actually like Jenny MORE after this episode than before. I don't think she's a whore or a bitch or a cunt or whatever everyone's calling her. I think she's human. She fucked up. She's not perfect little Mary Sue Jenny Reilly. She fucks up, she makes mistakes and she can own up to them.

For me, the relationship between Tommy and Jenny is now interesting because there are all these little hurts and I'm curious to see if they turn into a big series of hurts. I'm curious to see how it plays out when Jenny finds out that the Donnelly brothers have kept the death of her husband from her all these years (another huge fuck up, IMHO).

I think it's interesting that Dokey cut off Tommy's schooling but I really really liked how Tommy fixed Nicky. I'm kindasorta wanting to see some really good slash with Tommy/Nicky based on their interactions last night.

I liked Jimmy last night, as well. He was fairly entertaining with the way he called Jenny on her shit. Believable older brother activity there that had me grinning. I wonder if Jimmy's going to ever find out that Tommy is the one that fucked him over?

I'm with Nicky… I'd bet on Tommy anyway over Dokey. Dokey doesn't think three steps ahead about his actions. Tommy, on the other hand, totally thought ahead and saw how he'd just constantly being doing odd jobs for Dokey for the rest of his life unless he solved his own problem. Dokey's a shortsighted dick and that's why Tommy's going to kick his ass. He's not nearly as clever as he thinks he is.

people hate jenny?? oh, fandom. i like her, too. i half-watched last night's ep on the plane and didn't see last week's at all, so i need to properly catch up. i'm still enthralled by how perfectly lit this show is. that must be excellent for icon-making...

I dislike Jenny, but only because she interferes with fandom slash. I totally like that she's not perfect, that she does, indeed, fuck up.

Jimmy was definately more likeble in this ep. it seems his pretty decent when not high.

Slashfest is a "request/claim" multifandom comm. Basically, you can make three requests (one per pairing but multiples from the same fandom ie - you can request harry/draco and harry/snape but not two harry/draco prompts/scenarios) when the request round opens and then during the claiming round, you don't get a say in who gets your claim but a person can totally claim it and write it/draw it. Any fandom/any pairing as long as it's slash. There are well over a hundred fandoms and, right now, we have 301 requests carried over from 4 previous rounds. You can also claim prompts if you want to give it a go.
