Random update -

We've hired a new boss at work. She seems very nice. Very down to earth and friendly. I'm looking forward to working with her.

I spent all day attempting to get my payroll software to work because of the firewall installed so you can't even google anything. Which meant that the payroll software couldn't communicate with the payroll company to get the checks cut. Frustration central, let me tell you.

Got the rest of my week's worth of work done today because of the lack of internet usage. I have nothing to do the rest of the week. I'm tempted to bring in a couple of movies and watch them. Speaking of movies - I'm 25% of the way through my resolution 100. I have 3 more books to review (all of which scored 9 or above) and another 3 out of the library.

Also - anyone know what the movie title is of the movie where Kevin Bacon plays the pedophile in the woods or something?

Anyone know of any good browsers out there that aren't Firefox or IE? Both of those are banned from the internet so I'd like to get a different one as our IT person is such a fucktard she won't catch on at all. (No, really, the only reason she discovered the Firefox thing is that some asshat mentioned it to his boss who is also the IT person's boss) I had a recommendation for Opera... anyone second that rec?

I've fic coming but most all of you won't be reading it because it's het.

DL'd the pilot episode of The Black Donnellys and still love it, more than is healthy.

In a moment of weakness (financial and mental, is my claim), I agreed to dogsit for those chihuahuas that liked to try to bite me. It'll be 200 bucks for a week and there's a yard so I don't have to worry about diapers. Did I say it's 200 bucks? Cause I'm getting paid 200 bucks. *keeps trying to justify it*

*fails miserably*

I've missed chatting throughout the day with so many of you. However, I've now set up my gmail account to do that pop forwarding thing to my work email so you can email me instead *hopes*.

How are all of you?

Yes - Opera. I have been considering switching. It is quite bug free, and seems to develop cutting edge features years before anyone else does.

Good luck with the rabid Chihuahuas...

what kind of cutting edge features? *curious* I mean, I'm in love with Firefox, but if there's something better? I'd be willing to give it a try.

Someone told me Advent a while ago, but after surfing it I realized that it was a different version of IE ... and it hated my computer. x.x

I think the Kevin Bacon movie you're thinking of is called "The Woodsman". I haven't seen it, but I remember hearing about it. Didn't it also star his wife?

Opera had tabbed browsing and popup blockers long before Firefox. It comes with a lot of things already installed, like adblockers that you have to use extensions to do in Firefox. Opera has a built-in mail client. Basically, it's a one-time install, where you have to add things to Firefox to get the same utility. However, Firefox is customizable.

The thing that has kept me from converting is that it is not open source. I like the philosophy of the open source movement.

That and after I posted, I realized that Opera probably doesn't have the LJlogin feature someone made for FireFox (I live on that thing, now).

You are awesome for posting about The Black Donnellys a few days ago because you made me DL the pilot and I watched it and IT IS LOVE. LOVE!

Plus, I kinda had a thing for Jonathan Tucker when I watched '100 girls' a century ago even though he wasn't hot and his ears reminded me vaguely of Dumbo. So it was a very, very pleasant surprise to see that he grew into his features and turned out to be the hotness that he is. I♥HIM!

So you rock. *hearts*

They actually locked all the browsers (found that out today when I tried it) :( but opera is fairly cool.

Yeah, there's supposedly a yard at the new house so I'm halfway tempted to throw them outside and be done with it.

OMGHI!!!! How are you?????

Yeah, that show is awesome incarnate. I cannot wait for the next episode.

That whassisface Lush, his eyes freak me out... they remind me way too much of cookie monster's googly eyes but I do like his chin.

Jonathan Tucker is hotness, I completely agree :)

*hearts right back*
