I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I like to think that Reaper!Bones doesn't live forever though I admit to not thinking much beyond the end of the fic as to the possible outcomes because I have the same concerns as you.
It just about broke my heart to kill Gaila off but she makes the most perfect Ghost of Christmas Present, doesn't she? I hate that JJ totally didn't even remember her name during his commentary on the DVD. It tells me that she's definitely not on the Enterprise.
