What a busy freaking week of awesome.
elanorofcastile was here visiting and I lucked out and got a few extra days with her. We saw Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. I have to say that I enjoyed it except for Pierce Brosnan. Better review later. We saw it with a couple of IRL friends of mine and
waxbean who is srsly awesome, too.
We went to the Ren Faire - it was cold and rainy and freezing. BUT - the jugglers were awesome. And the Falconer was cool. And the whip guy.
We went to the San Xavier Mission down here, out to Old Tucson, out to the Desert Museum and a bunch of other places. She freaking wore me out the whole time, lemme tell you. I ended up needing a nap every day.
It was quite a lovely time as I'd spent the previous 13 days leading up to her visit working my ass off until she got here. 89 hours in a week. Blargh.
We spent a bunch of time watching random movies, giggling about the Bakery AU (I swear, we have a huge next part written and at beta) along with brainstorming new ideas, talking about our favorite fics and random happenings.
I got a new TV and a blu-ray. Of course the first movie to be played on it was Star Trek. Best part of the TV & Blu-Ray. They're both sold, regular retail, for $1350-ish before taxes. I got them, both, for $330 WITH tax. Oh yeah. I'm awesome :P
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and she left me this morning *insert emo tears*. I did get to see Fiddler on the Roof. If you get a chance to see the rest of the farewell tour, go see it. It's freaking brilliantly well-done! Simply amazing.
So catch me up as it's been about 2 weeks since I've had time to check the flist. What's new with you guys?
