Earlier today, I had an earache so bad that I was tempted to stick a sharp object in my ears to puncture the eardrum just to relieve some of the goddamned pressure. Instead, my sister set up a humidifier and I drank some diet coke and baddabingbaddaboom, earache back to tolerable conditions.
I have a sinus infection... one that is driving me insane. Whenever I get one, I get a horrible toothache as well because I have hypersensitive nerves. Fuckers.
Made a Stouffer's Beef and Broccoli skillet meal tonight, sat down, started to eat it and discovered a beetle in the food. Have contacted Stouffer's but as they're only available Monday through Friday, haven't heard back from them.
Am dogsitting so the cash is handy.
Have to work tomorrow as New Years affects the payroll submission date. Am not a happy camper about that because I do not get paid overtime or, in fact, any sort of extra pay whatsoever. So, I shall be taking loads of time off of the rest of the days this upcoming week cause screwthat about working all those extra hours for no pay.
Started myindoctrination training with Fry's Marketplace (the local Kroger's store) last week and now I start at the store this week. I asked for 15-20 hours and stated I'd prefer more the 15 than the 20. I also said that I wasn't available until 6pm. What was my schedule? 6am to 12pm every day for a total of 30 hours. Um, no. So I called and "the best [they] could do" was change it to 6pm to midnight every day this week including New Years even though I stated I was not available on holidays. The extra money will come in handy as my registration on my car is due (only 250 dollars this year!!! last year it was 350). But considering that I am sick, I am not all that happy about this. They keep saying fuck your requests throughout the entire employment process so far and considering that my actual first day is on Monday, this doesn't bode well at all.
I haven't written more than 200 words since I got sick last Wednesday. I have four stories due by end of January. *wibbles*
I have read assloads of fic at
yuletide. Expect a recs post soon. Until then, one for the books -
Why Sex Ed Should Stay In Schools - NC-17 Sesame Street fic. Bert/Ernie. Bert and Ernie learn "hard and soft" and "in and out". There is also misusage of puppetholes and pervy puppets. It's a cracktacular read that you all should go read immediately. Now we know what the religious right knew all those years ago where they said that Bert and Ernie were a bunch of pervy homosexuals. *winks*
Back to sleep for moi.
