I've been tagged and since this is one that's super easy... I give you my book meme. Look at your bookshelves and name 10 books, in order, on one shelf. If possible, summarize and list the last time you read it. I'll put it under the tag so I don't take a bunch of space...
(BTW, pronunciation of meme? is it "mehmE" "mehm" "mEmE"????)
1. Visions in Death by JD Robb - Eve Dallas investigates a case blah blah blah. Last read - two months ago, prolly
2. Divided in Death by JD Robb - another Eve Dallas investigates a case book. Last read - Right before Visions
3. Cerulean Sins by Laurell K. Hamilton - an Anita Blake novel. Last Read - no idea
4. I used to miss him...but my aim is improving - a self help book about getting over an ex-boyfriend - last read - about a year ago when I got dumped hard.
5. The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway - come on folks, we should all know this one. Last Read - about 6 months ago
6. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - *snirt* if you don't know this one, you're in the wrong fandom. Last read - a month ago
7. Balance Point by Kathy Tyers - A Star Wars invasion of the dumbass waste of space marketing ploy just to sell more books Yuzhong Vong book. Last Read - about a year ago.
8. Hawkes Harbor by SE Hinton - A young man is enslaved by a vampire who cures his vampiracy (really good book with a crappy summary by me). Last Read - about 6 months ago.
9. When Dragon's Rage by Michael Stackpole - One of a series about a young man trying to save his world. He becomes an old man and has to battle old friends and enemies. A really great read. I highly recommend Michael Stackpole to any and all fantasy fans. Last Read - about a month ago.
10. Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden - A coming of age story about a girl who becomes a geisha. Last read - a week ago.
So there you have it... the books on my hardback shelf. I probably have about 1000 books (I have closets of books instead of clothes) but these were on the first shelf my eyes went to.
I won't tag anyone but I'd be interested in everyone's responses.
Comments? Anyone read any of these? Got any good books to recc me?
