Flist locked post cause I'm going to rant...

I wrote Moments, posted it to thehexfiles. One of the moderators decided to add "character death" to it because that is how SHE interpreted the story. So, now people will read the story with THAT interpretation. That is so not what I wanted. I didn't put that warning down SPECIFICALLY because I wanted people to read it how they wanted. So, I went and deleted that warning and guess what's back? The frikken warning!

I ask you, is this right and proper? Do I have a right to be pissed about this or am I wrong?

I wen to edit the summary of Beautiful Twilight and delete the violence warning because there isn't any in the first part when I noticed OC. At first I thought I'd clicked on it by accident, now I'm wondering if it was put on because Harry is with his Auror partner Doyle with no mention of Draco yet. I deleted it but I wonder if it's back. Why don't you mail the mod and make clear your intentions (nicely though). :)

i'm with luciology, i think you should write a nice professionally polite note explaining that the story is not written with character death necessarily intended, but is up for interpretation.

and if they insist then [*shrug*] people will still interpret it how they like.

[*pets wook*] and yes, i'd be annoyed too, but in the end of the day, it's not worth your energy to get too worked up about a silly little mod who does whatever she wants. punch a pillow and then forget about her (((((hugs tightly)))))

Thanks for making me feel better. I was just so made because the mod said "I took the liberty of adding". Grrrrrr. I'm not so upset now, especially when hearing that it could be happening to other people. I love the Hexfiles normally. They have a wonderful archive but this really just frosted my nuggets.

Thanks for listening to my rant :) I will be sending a nice letter after the upset gets out a little more.

Yeah, I did... got a response back saying that they wanted to reach a compromise and would I please say that this could be interpreted as a death fic...which I say is just as bad as the warning so I yanked it. I shan't be posting anything else there, I can tell you that. Of course, I'm probably being a primadonna so I'll do my little turn on the catwalk ;)

I have no idea where else to archive. For now, I'll just keep everything on the lj... I don't get much of a response on the archives anyway.
