Am so stuck on my [livejournal.com profile] springtimegen story right now. SOOOO STUCK. I know what I want to have happen. I know where I want it to end. I know all of this and yet? I cannot write it.

Same thing with [livejournal.com profile] hpslashnotsmut and they're both only due in like two weeks. *fails at deadlines*

I posted some Four Brothers Icons. Concrit welcome :).

In work related news:

I now hate that Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy song. SLL's radio keeps playing it over and over. The other day, the radio station played it 8 times in a row.

However, I'm loads more productive now that I can only get out to LJ by cheating during the day. I only check my flist like once a day at work now, which makes me sad but it also makes me work. The only problem is that I don't actually HAVE any work to be doing that isn't fandom related.

For example, I caught up on 2 years of filing today. Literally - I did two years worth of filing projects that I've been simply shoving into a cabinet because we never access it. In addition, I've devised a campaign to increase our success rates with spaying cats/dogs that keep having litters brought to us. I pitch it on Wednesday so we'll see how that goes. I'm making up crap to do and I'm just so bored. I've watched quite a few movies at work as well. If I could write what's due, than maybe I wouldn't be so bored.

Stupid me, I agreed to dogsit those ankle/foot biting chihuahuas from a few weeks ago. I'll be there a week and a day and get paid over 200 bucks so it'll at least cover the copays from the bites. However, they moved so the apartment is even nicer.

You might wonder why they moved. Ok, then again, maybe not. It seems that they got evicted due to rabid chihuahuas. No, seriously, their dogs barked all the time when they were gone so they were evicted. At least at this new place, they have a yard so I can stick the little monsters outside for quite a bit of the time. Add to it that I don't have to pick up dog crap and change the little dickhead's diaper and this might be better than before. Plus - maybe while I'm there, I can actually write like I did the last time.

How are all of you?

Totally random comment!

Reading your post made me hungry...

And I hate BWBB because I'm tired of hearing it and wanting to grab a pole/rifle and do dance moves.

ILU!!!!

My foot itches...

Ohoh! I was supposed to show you stuff... right?

OMG You were!!! Tonight? I should be on tonight and possibly not pulling out my hair as I heard a random mix I made months ago and it helped me get some ideas for my springtimegen story.

gah, i know exactly what you mean about seeing the story in your mind, yet being unable to write it! i hope the new environment will indeed help you with that. and that the dogs won't bite too much...

[identity profile] wook77.livejournal.com 2007-03-09 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I really hope so and those little ankle biters are going to spend quite a bit of time in the kitchen and in the yard. Thankfully, it's in the mid 80s here so it's nice and warm for them but not so hot that they can't stay outside hanging out.

[identity profile] lurkitty.livejournal.com 2007-03-09 08:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yes - perhaps if you read them porn as you write it the rabid little beasties will behave!

You'll be fine. *hugs*

[identity profile] wook77.livejournal.com 2007-03-09 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Except..... everything that i need to write can't have porn in it.

I will be I hope. I heard a song on a mix that I'd made months ago that reinvigorated me I think.

I miss checking lj during work (kind of like I'm doing now), but in my case work has just been busy. I have no energy left though, so am just flist basking.

I'm always worried that our dogs bark all day too. I hope they don't. I've come home once or twice though, and Basil's completely hoarse. Those are the days he seems to take it really badly that we're not home.

Have I ever shown you my babies?

I'm on sneakeh at lunch right now *grins*.

I've gotten so much cleaned up at work... like I've even cleaned out my hutch area where i keep my personal crap. It's crazy.

OMG YOUR DOGS ARE SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They look like they have a blast all the time!!!! One way to test for separation anxiety (the constant barking when you're not home) is to hang outside your house for a bit after you leave... wait about 20 minutes and see if they bark. Otherwise, they probably only bark at stimulation (birds and stuffs). Cisco had separation anxiety REALLY bad and I almost got evicted from my apartment. Took me four years to "cure" him of it and that was only because I got another dog that kept him company during the day.

Also - OMG you were on metafandom and then you were linked on the LOTR newsletter! I saw your name and I gave a little giggle and went "I KNOW HER!!!".

[identity profile] drusillas-rain.livejournal.com 2007-03-09 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
lotr newsletter? really? do you have a link?

hehe, I like seeing where I end up :)

Basil barks and whines (occasionally so does Chloe) for at least the first 10-15 min after we lock them up. We keep them seperated from the front of the house when we're gone, because otherwise they spend the day on the couch barking at everything that passes by. This way they're confined to a smaller space, but they still have enough room to run around in and look out the back window.

They're the main reason I wish I was a stay at home writer/housewife. I feel so bad leaving them. Although it's definitely better with two dogs.

We had Chloe for about 6 months, and we would come home after work with her curled up on the top of the couch, staring sadly out the front door window waiting for us to come home. She wouldn't touch any of her bones or toys or food or water. It was very very sad. Now there's evidence that they play. But they still seem to have harder days than others - usually we can tell by how sucky they are when we get home.

Is it five yet? I want to go home to them O_o

[identity profile] wook77.livejournal.com 2007-03-09 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
There's this stuff out there called Rescue Remedy - have you tried that? It seems to work on the non-hard cases.

There you go! (http://community.livejournal.com/middleearthnews/145201.html)

I want to go home too but it's only like 2:15 here and it really sucks. At least I have 45 more minutes of lunch and I can maybe go home early. *hopes*

Gah, me too. I've got my sns fully outlined, but just can't seem to write to save my life. When I've got time to write I'm too beat from work/exercise/life and just keel over dead asleep.

Maybe I should try writing porn at work instead.

[identity profile] wook77.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
I overplotted my sns so something has to go, unfortunately. There's no way I'm going to be able to write that convoluted of a plot in less than 2 weeks.

I completely understand that dead from work/exercise/life. UGH, I just started back to the gym this week and I'm dead from the workouts. SO TIRED!!!

You should! I write better when I'm distracted for some reason. So, I always have a million things going on.

In addition, I've devised a campaign to increase our success rates with spaying cats/dogs that keep having litters brought to us.

That sounds really worthwhile to me, not just making up crap to do. Go you!

Re. chihuahuas: as long as you're sure they're actually going to pay you $200... And hooray for a yard!

[identity profile] wook77.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
It's me making up crap, honest. It involves a spreadsheet and a mass mailing. Basically - what happens is that people bring litters in to us. We offer them a spay for 10 bucks but they have to come back within 60 days. 99.99999999999999999% of the people never come back. So, what I proposed was for us to honor them up to 3 years in the past. I ended up pitching the idea today instead of wednesday and they're liking the idea. So, less litters which will be honest plus more work for me!

These people are amazing about paying. They actually normally include a tip as well, so it should be over 200 but 200 is the base rate. Besides, they don't pay me and i'll sic my boss on them (the girl works with my boss on a few committees).

Wow, it seems you ARE very productive!! Congrats!! :)

Ahhh.. Chihuhuas... They are SO small and rat-like and bark in their high squeeaky voices ALL the time. Hehe. Some are cute though.

[livejournal.com profile] slashnotsmut.... *shudders* I've got a wonderful idea and a great challenge, but WHERE does time fly??!?!? *cries*
