Ugh, tired and cranky and sick. Why did I have to be born female and with ill-working girl bits?

Anyway - went out with a friend last night. You might remember Cobra girl. We finally reconciled and hit a few bars on 4th Avenue. It was alright, she didn't bite anyone so that's an improvement, right?

Watched most of the Live Earth concert that was broadcast and I have to say that the dude that got to hold Lenny Kravitz's ass in Rio was one lucky motherfucker. I want that, dammit!

Am going to go see OotP with [livejournal.com profile] shygryf on Wednesday. Made the decision that as her car isn't running and I have to work on Wednesday, that it'd just be better to go after work. After watching a few videos that [livejournal.com profile] kaalee linked, I have no faith that Seamus will be in it all that much nor will he have an opportunity to join the DA simply due to Devon's interview where he says Seamus disappears at the end. Alfie, however, did say that he was going to check out fictionalley so, um, good luck, Alfie. Hope you don't mind seeing Dean and Seamus hooking up. I know I don't.

[livejournal.com profile] rpg_prophet is coming back with a new look. We'd taken an unplanned hiatus and, thus, have reorganized. If you watch rpgs and/or rp, you can help! Add a suggestion for discussion topics or suggest a game to have an in-depth feature. If you rp - write a letter to Luna asking for advice. She's just like Hints from Heloise, Dear Abby or Ann Landers.

We've been unpacking like demons this week. There are currently 6 boxes of cut up cardboard boxes sitting out at the curb for recycling. Every week, our recycling is bigger than our garbage pickup. We recycle everything. If the garbage company doesn't take it but it has that nifty triangle on it, we take it to the recyclers and drop it off. They take everything from styrofoam to pop cans. Plus - the pop cans have netted us at least 200 bucks so far this year. So, it really does pay to recycle.

I've petitioned the garbage company to provide larger cans for recycling down here. Right now, they just give a little bin and it's not nearly enough to fit our normal load let alone the "ZOMG just moved" sort of recycling we're doing now.

Inspired by the Live Earth concert, we went out and bought all sorts of those energy efficient lightbulbs and we installed them in every light in our house. If you're interested this is a great website for the energy efficient lightbulbs. It features all sorts of reviews on performance and links to where you can buy a variety of shapes and sizes of lightbulbs. We have several ceiling fans that require special lightbulbs and, so, we ordered the special bulbs for them.

On a more personal note, I'm so tired of being a girl. Seriously. TMI - I've been getting my female issues every other week for the past 2 months. I'm so absolutely sick of it and cannot wait until I get put back on that medication. (For those of you that haven't heard before, I get put on medication that induces a temporary menopause due to endometriosis.) I would much rather have hot flashes than this bogus cramping.

My new boss is a twat. She's just as dumb as SLL. I have lost all hope that she might be borderline good and it's only been two weeks. She reminds me of this girl that I had the misfortune of being on swim team with. Her name was Tsiphenauaia (no joke, we called her Sniffy) that was this child of hippies and didn't realize that you were supposed to wash your knickers every so often (say, like after 1 wearing?). Ugh, just so much fail there. I'm now looking for a new job. Hopefully it won't be as bad as this one is right now.

I have a post about spoilers written but it's at work so expect some psuedo-meta on that possibly tomorrow.

How are all of you?

Meh. CFL's give me migraines. They are only efficient if you're not turning them off and on all the time. If you have a place where the light gets turned on and off several times a day, then you may find the CFL has a low lifetime and an incandescent is actually more efficient.

I'm waiting for LED lights to get brighter. THey are extremely efficient and have no mercury.

I have the same problem with our garbage company, and have talked to them about it. I barely fill half a garbage can, but my little bin is overflowing every week with recycling. The folks down the street overfill a giant garbage can every week. How do people do that?

With my endometriosis, I finally had to have the whole works yanked out. I got to the point of haemmorhageing 3 weeks out of the month, with lovely cramps besides. I certainly don't miss it!

Ugh. Well, we're trying them in the main lights that stay on most of the time.

Exactly! Dude, this one place down the street had all sorts of recyclables sticking out of its trashcan and the recycling bin by the house. I have to admit to being pissed at them. What a bunch of idiots.

I'm going back on the medication and then, if that doesn't work, they do this laser surgery to laser off the build up. Hopefully that'll work, considering i don't really plan on getting preggers..... I just don't want the period bi-weekly anymore.

Alfie, however, did say that he was going to check out fictionalley so, um, good luck, Alfie. Hope you don't mind seeing Dean and Seamus hooking up. I know I don't. - *dies* Of course, if he doesn't mind, then i'm quite sure we can hook him up with plenty more of the good stuff.

I quite liked GoF (in a movie way not in a faithful adaptation way) but I have the sneaking suspicion i'm not going to walk away from OotP with the same feeling - curses on them for cutting Seamus's scenes and Ron's Quidditch while we're on the subject. At least there is Book 7 to look forward to *crosses fingers for Jo writing nice things about Dean and Seamus*

Other than that - i'm just dandy.

[identity profile] wook77.livejournal.com 2007-07-10 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think I'm going to like it either. Seamus is sure just to look like a snobby wannabe death eater prat with the whole don't trust harry thing. Then again, possibly maybe I'm borrowing trouble.

I will just be happy if she doesn't kill them off. I can take it from there *leers*.

Ugh, sounds like no fun -- hope you feel better soon. *hugs*

Watched most of the Live Earth concert that was broadcast and I have to say that the dude that got to hold Lenny Kravitz's ass in Rio was one lucky motherfucker. I want that, dammit!

Whoa, what? I didn't watch Live Earth but clearly I should have... Is there YouTube video of this??

[identity profile] wook77.livejournal.com 2007-07-10 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNGOOU-qfkw) - it's literally in the last 10 seconds where he's sitting on one of the guards and the guard is holding his ass.

[identity profile] secretsolitaire.livejournal.com 2007-07-10 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Ahh, yessss, thank you! *leers*

[identity profile] maple-mahogany.livejournal.com 2007-07-09 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry my wookee. *kicks uterus*

:)

The Spellcast interview implies that they at least filmed the Harry-Seamus fight, and we know he shows up to DA before it's over. *hopes*

Are you guys doing a midnight showing, or day time?

I need to email you about the other thing. *hugs*

[identity profile] wook77.livejournal.com 2007-07-10 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks, I think the kick might've helped.

OMG THAT ICON might've helped too.

But are they going to have him show up at the DA before it's over? Devon in that interview says that he doesn't get to do any magic and disappears before the end. I'm not keeping the faith on this one but I shall commiserate with you on it. *nods*

And also - the cow says cluck.
