Two Drabble-y type stories

At Lumos, there was an impromptu [livejournal.com profile] queerditch_pub and I wrote two drabble-y type stories for it.

Pairing: Sirius/James
Prompt: Rely too heavily on alcohol & irony

James felt wretched as his head hung deep into the bowl of the toilet in front of him. He'd retched until everything emptied and then, for his health he was sure, retched a few more times.

He always regretted everything in the morning after but he never stopped the monthly meetings. He couldn't go much longer without the touch, the need, being satisfied.

Lily always smiled and straightened his cuff or collar. At those moments, James felt the immense weight of guilt on his shoulders. As soon as he was through the door and breathing the fresh air, the guit disappated in teh face of the need.

Sirius's eager expression drew James in, belied the wrongness of cheating on Lily wile she was six months pregnant with their first child.

The roughness of Sirius's palm on his face moments before the dry chapped lips touched his was unbelievably soothing.

It was secret and forbidden and necessary.

They never saw the curtains fall back into place as they wrapped a friendly arm around one another and made their way to the pub.

In the morning, as James wretched, Lily's smile was bittersweet. He'd regret and pamper and, for the next month, be hers.

Pairing: Harry/Colin (I just couldn't suggest Colati...)
Prompt: Late last night, I was looking through pictures. Flooded with memories, I lie on the floor and imagined you with me. (Lyrics from Us by She Wants Revenge)

Colin sat on the edge of the bed, photographs all around. In some, Harry smiled and then winked. In others, Harry glared before looking to the side. Some, some were frozen in time.

Those frozen expressions were Colin's favourites. He enjoyed the story he could create behind them. The photo of the jubilant expression on Harry's face was Colin's secret obsession. Take on Harry's wedding day, Colin pretended that it was really Harry looking at him after a long separation.

Harry would walk out into the garden and see Colin waiting for him. A smile would cross his lips and Colin would snap his photo before hyrrying across the grass. The embrace would be tight, so tight that breathing would only be a necessity to take in Harry's unique fragrance.

There was no Ginny in this world, no Dennis to ask awkward questions. There would not be long lonely nights with only the photographs.

Each of these nights, he brought out the photos and spoke to them. Colin would hear Harry's responses only in his head but that was enough for him. Unlike the Harry in reality, the Harry in his head complimented him, wanted him. The Harry in his head loved him.

Dennis was worried but, so far, Colin had been able to put him off with a story about a project for Witch Weekly one week, The Quibbler the next.

Soon, though, when the photos never appeared in any of the newspapers, Dennis would catch on. Colin didn't want to contemplate this happening. He would think of another excuse when the time came.

Until then, Colin would continue his conversations with the true Harry, the real Harry, the Harry in his head.

Wow, really nicely done. Very emotional, each in different ways.

I am so bummed I missed that impromptu live queerditch session.
