Holy shit, I haven't done a real introduction since 2007 (here though I've obviously edited since then).

As I get new friends from the H50 Friending Meme, I thought I'd update to a new introduction.

I tend to post in spurts. I'm either really active or really not. I work two jobs for a total of about 60-80 hours a week plus I'm going to school part-time. My schedule is fairly unpredictable so I can't promise regular updates or that I'm not all that active.

I'm in a variety of fandoms. If Mark Wahlberg is in it (normally with a gun), I'm in the fandom. That includes: Four Brothers and The Departed. I'm also into Boondock Saints, Green Street Hooligans and Star Wars (original trilogy only mkthx).

I'm a big fan of video games and the fandoms attached. I like Knights of the Old Republic (I & II), Jade Empire, Dragon Age, Fable (the entire series, even #2) and

My biggest fandoms, however, are Harry Potter, X-Men and Star Trek. The bulk of my fic will be in these three fandoms.

My first fandom was Knights of the old Republic (het-based) way back in 2004. My first slash ship was Wolverine/Gambit from X-Men and I haven't stopped loving them. I joined LJ in 2005, first as a lurker and then finally got a journal after a few months of lurking
I mod [livejournal.com profile] slashfest and a few other comms.

My newest love is Hawaii Five-0. I literally flail with glee as I watch. I've taken to chatting while I watch so if anyone else wants to do that, just drop me an email. I love flailing with others though most of it is normally keysmashing.

I am not a fan of schmoop and you won't find a lot of schmoop in my fic/journal. I'm sort of bitingly sarcastic and, sometimes, rather mean. I'm all right with that. I like my fic with realism. I don't like petnames, especially overly effeminate ones such as "honey" or "angel".

I do, however, like tattoos, especially the licking of tattoos. I like feet. I like biting. I like banter. I like clever boys and traveling. I don't like D/s but I do like a bit of a struggle for position.

Ships (in no particular order):

Kirk/McCoy
Steve/Danno (or Danno/Steve, whatever)
Wolverine/Gambit
Dean/Seamus
Harry/Draco
Remus/Sirius
Dignam/Costigan
Connor/Murphy
Bobby/Jack
Colin/Parvati
Dennis/Parvati
Kono/Kickass

About Me Personally:

I'm originally from Pennsylvania (south-central PA, which is farming country and absolutely awful, IMHO). I moved to Arizona for college, made the mistake of going back to PA and then moved back out to Tucson, AZ.

I'm socially active. I've been in college since 1995 and am on my 9th or 10th major. I'm a sociology major with a focus in gender and sexuality. I'm liberal and a staunch feminist. I volunteer with a variety of organizations here in Tucson.

I've only kept one New Years resolution and I'm in my 4th year of doing it. I read at least 50 books and watch 50 movies (all new to me) every year. I post reviews if the book/movie is especially good or especially bad.

I live in Tucson and work for an animal-related organization as both the finance manager and the risk manager. I've been doing more public speaking, especially on risk management and employee engagement. It's a fun sideline. If I ever share my place of employment with you, I ask that you keep it on the downlow.

I do post about work, life and my awful luck with all things injury related. I've had 11 car accidents in my 17 years of driving and none of them have been my fault. My most recent two were 8 days apart back in December of 2010. In the second one, I ended up fairly injured. I've now totalled five cars.

I really do answer to 'wook' IRL. Ask people that have met me. Hopefully, I don't really resemble a wookiee but, yanno, there it is. The nickname came from a roommate in college (1995) and, when I discovered the internet a few short months later, I've had some version of wook in my nickname ever since. I've been online with people since 1995. First, in the trivia chatrooms of Yahoo and then spreading through a variety of other places.

I don't watch a lot of television. Normally, when I watch a show, it gets cancelled. See: The Black Donnellys, Moonlight, and Sledgehammer. Heroes was cancelled shortly after I started watching it, as well.

Now tell me about you!
