hp_springsmut has finished posting. I did two works, my original assignment and a pinch hit. As reveals are a few days away, what ones do you think I did? Any reasons?

hd_worldcup starts posting tomorrow. There are some amazing works this year. The artwork, in particular, is stunning. There isn't a piece of artwork that I didn't fall in love with.

Work today sucked. We terminated 6 people due to the economy and the continued lack of profit and performance at one of our locations. Of course all the terminations were happening right next to my office and it made me all weird. Also - I had to sit in on one of them.

My boss and I had a talk today about last Thursday (she just got back from vacation). I think we're in a good spot. I'm finally feeling more cleansed about this whole thing. She seemed to get where I'm coming from and where I'm frustrated at. So we'll see if things improve.

I've been reading way too many spoilers for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. If only I could tempt more of you into the X-Men fandom. There's so much shiny (images linked are NSFW) there. I'm still so extremely excited over this movie. Also - I heard Taylor Kitsch try out Gambit's accent and it sort of made me lol. Hopefully it's better than it sounded on that little clip. It sort of sounds British instead of Creole. You can hear it on the official website (not dial-up friendly in the least). IDK. Also, I bought a Gambit action figure and put it up at my desk. Don't judge.

I really really really want a new mood theme :(. Anyone feeling graphically inspired and would be willing to do a custom one up for me?

Awesome! I liked it but I just went o.O British! on a couple of the words. Taylor Kitsch is pretty enough to make up for it, though. And oh man. Have you been looking at any of the spoilers? *flails*

I keep having these chats where I make people talk to me about X-Men so that I can babble on and on and on about it and Gambit and Wolverine and their epic love OMG and then there's so many other awesomes. I wasn't too into Wraith and then I did a bit more looking and now I'm totes excited for him, too. Deadpool too. The Blob. *flails*

LOL I've actually only read very specific arcs of X-Men, but I've been in several mutant RPGs, and have thus been exposed to most of 'em.

But Gambit and Wolverine have EPIC!LOVE? Why did no one inform me about this??!!

I'm a big X-Men fan; I've been reading the comics for about 20 years now. The only pairing based on movie!canon that gets to me, though, is Bobby/John. For some reason even Hugh Jakman's perfect and sexy Wolverine hasn't tempted me to read fic.

Oh man yeah, the Bobby/John from the movies is awesome. But, I'm a comics canon girl, meself. I just can't wait to see how they get Gambit in there. Supposedly, this movie is following the comics more than the others for loads of things so hopefully Gambit is closer to the comic canon than what I fear (which is so horribly not comic canon Gambit).

Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is beautiful and sexy but....

SO on the comics side - do you ship anyone?

I don't have any slash favourites for the actual comics. My ultimate OTP is Piotr/Kitty. They are ♥. I also heart Scott/Jean whenever Jean is not dead but alive and kicking. ;)

The problem with the X-Men comics here in Finland, though, is the fact that it's a compilation of different stories that the mother company in Denmark decides to buy/publish. It's rather frustrating when you get only a few stories or one storyline from one original magazine before they change to a next one that has a different set of heroes. It was all so much better before when there was just one original magazine with one group. My favourite group of X-Men is from a period when Rogue was the newest member for them and still trying to adapt. So, pre-Gambit times were/are special for me. :D

I would be so willing to draw for X-Men, especially if one Wolverine is involved <33 I once did a x-over with Remus/Wolverine for a fest and enjoyed it more than I could admit. Especially now that I'm into superhero fandoms *is shy to admit*
