Recent friending frenzy so hi! If you ever have questions, feel free to ask! Want to get to know me? There's more than enough personal crap all through this journal *grins*. So welcome!

I've always had this problem with either Snape or Ron having a working willy unless it's in a sort of psychotic episode thing. Like - I can deal with Ron having sex if he's insane and giving it to Ginny. I can deal with angry hate!sex with Snape and Regulus.

The point is - today is READ Day and thus - I think it's now time that I might see if I can expand my horizons so......... I know I have a lot of Ron/Harry or Harry/Ron shippers on my flist. Anyone want to rec me anything? I'll leave Snape for another day.

If I haven't commented on something, you can take that to mean that I haven't read it and/or I, um, read it while sneaking out onto the internet at work and forgot to comment. So, if you've written something I haven't checked out lately, rec me?

There's Always One More Sheep Around the Corner, or A Week in Cumbria - Long and really worth reading. It's got a brilliant Harry and a fantastic Draco in it. They've both made mistakes and it's all about fixing them and sheep. Did I mention that there were sheep? There are, just in case I forgot *winks*.

Misc Recs

Finals - Bobby/Jack from Four Brothers. This isn't the best written story but the author shows promise and, well, anyone who can make Physics sexy, I'll give a chance to. It's got some fairly sexy Physics lessons in there. It's a bit schmoopy, in fact, a bit too schmoopy but the Physics lesson during sex made up for it.

Personal stuffs -

Got my tax refunds today. For the first time in three years, Arizona didn't shaft me out of my tax refund. So, I have a nice chunk of change that is going to my mum to pay for stuff for the new house. I get to buy one pair of new shoes with the refund and get my car fixed. Other than that, none goes to me. So, yeah, car's getting fixed this weekend, finally! YAYES for new coolant systems!

My mum took me for a drink after work because I had a shitty dickwad call me about an hour before I was due to leave work. Fucker thinks that he doesn't have to pay almost 300 bucks in services because it's over 90 days. To which, I basically said you have until a certain date and then fuck you, you're ass is being charged with fraud. Asswipe had me so mad that I was shaking. So, yeah, mum took me for a drink and I got to bitch and moan to her for awhile.

Speaking of bitching and moaning... went to talk to peeps at the design school and that isn't going to work out. The program is 45k for 3 years and the increase in pay before taxes is only like 4-10k so it would take me almost 10 years to pay off the student loans just for that part of them. So, yeah, um, not worth the money.

I have an appointment at University of Arizona in their PoliSci program to get back into that and see about a combined PoliSci/Social Services degree and see if I can work for a battered childrens/women center. I've been volunteering off and on with one here in Tucson and I enjoy it. Eventually, I think it'd be nifty to lobby in DC for that sort of thing. But, still gathering information and maybe, by the time I'm 50, I'll figure out what I want to be when I grow up. As it is, if I go back to UA, my credits all stay active and I don't lose any. In addition, I get in state tuition and it's loads less money. So, meh, IDK, we'll see about the whole school thing.

On Monday, I have my first day off of work since, um, well, wow, since Christmas (which shouldn't count as you never get to do what you want on Christmas) and then Thanksgiving (again, shouldn't count). So um, yeah, I'm finally taking a day off. I'm going to be meeting up with

wendy for loads of fun and margaritas. And possibly Mark Wahlberg shirtless and larger than life. And possibly new shoes. I'm psyched BEYOND psyched. This is going to be so much fun.

Speaking of Arizona meet-ups... anyone in AZ interested in doing an "HP in AZ" sort of thing? Is there something for this already? I've been talking to a fellow AZ resident and we thought it'd be awesome to get a group together to hang out. What do you think? Know anyone in AZ that might be interested? I'd be willing to organize the first get together and/or get a comm set up to really get people in one spot.
