(no subject)

Cisco's lump came back. Turns out it's a fatty mass that weighed two pounds and was bigger than a baseball. Incision is 7 inches long.

He's sleeping in his pretty pretty princess bed (it's bright pink with a crown. In my defense, it was on clearance at Target and all I could afford at the time).

I appreciate the thoughts and well wishes.

Today=emotional rollercoaster from hell but at least Cisco turned out to be a-ok :D.

I'm glad that it's just a fat deposit, but it still sounds like an ordeal for you both!

Quite an ordeal that involved me cashing out extra PTO, begging my boss for a loan from the petty cash box and a few other things...all for naught as the surgery ended up cheaper than they told me it would be.

Original estimate - 400 bucks
New estimate - 700 bucks (wts? o.O)
Total cost - 350 bucks.

me: repaying work ASAP.

That is bizarre. We had a situation with one of our cats this summer that was similar. They estimated $700 and it ended up being $100. But it was a life-threatening situation.

The sad thing was, she ended up dying anyway and then were the costs associated with that. :(

I really think pet insurance is a valid thing, if I could afford to get it. Most people I know can't even get health insurance for themselves.
