pimpins

Here are some pimpings for you all.

[livejournal.com profile] vu_network starts tomorrow!!!!!! YAY!!!! OK, so everyone needs to watch this comm because there are some really good players there. (including yours truly of course). Still looking for characters - McGonagall, Weasleys, Twins, Hermione, etc.

I really really want THIS!!!! ([livejournal.com profile] jehnt - you getting some of this?)

[livejournal.com profile] hp_bb - because HPBB is love.

Speaking of love - 2 fic reccs for you -

Nothing Gold Can Stay - Oliver/Cedric. She's going to rip your heart out and make you thank her for it.

The Dead Don't See - H/D. It's really really well done. She did a great job on giving a new twist to the blind!fic. I adore this one.

I've been writing more Star Wars than Harry Potter. I don't know why but I'm really back into my WiP. It's really jazzing me and I'm about 4k right now towards a new chapter with no signs of stopping.

[livejournal.com profile] dogstuff

My dog, Cisco, is a 10 year old terrier mix. When he was a puppy, he had a bum knee. I had expensive knee surgery on it when he was about a year old. He had a staple put in permanently. Well, this last weekend, I put him outside. When he came in, he wasn't walking on the leg at all. So, he finally started limping on Monday. He goes in for a vet appointment tomorrow to get x-rays and stuff done. Unfortunately, we don't offer x-rays at work or else I'd get them for a song. Instead, I have to pay regular retail and/or play the Humane Society card and hope for a huge discount.

I really can't afford surgery on his knee again. It was over 1000 bucks the last time. I don't have that kind of money. So, I'm mildly stressed about it.

Add on to this stress that Nala (my 7 year old shih tzu) has tick fever. She's always had tick fever (well, since September when I took her in). Her blood count is awful to the point of dangerous. I have her on meds and that's draining my funds as well. I get them from work, so they're cheap but there are a ton of medication she's on. Plus testing and stuff every three months. So, stupid me for adopting a sick dog. But, I love her anyway.

There's my dog updates.

How's everyone????

i love doggies! i've always adopted older dogs and there's nothing wrong with taking in a sick dog, it's a wonderful thing to do for an animal that might otherwise have to be put to sleep. i am a member of the humane society and the aspca. all 3 of my dogs have been sick at one time or another and 1 required surgery, so i understand the financial frustrations. one of mine has hip dysplasia and i know it is going to be really expensive when she finally has to have the surgery. i hope your doggies start to feel better soon. *pets, hugs and kisses them*

Aw, sorry to hear about your doggies. Hope Cisco's all better soon and the treatment's not too expensive. ::hugs doggies::

STAR WARS EASTER EGGS?

... omg. *covets* The family Easter party is at my house and, bwahahaha, they already think I'm a crazy nutcase (it's okay, they're all crazy nuts too) but NOW I WILL TRIUMPH. Yes, that's me, taking over the world, ONE EASTER EGG AT A TIME.

Also, I hope your dogs are okay. *wibbles*
