Oh, awesome. I love seeing Starfleet acting a little shady; they can't always be the Shining Beacon of Fluffy Love. And I love that you brought up McCoy's excellent credentials. I've seen a few fics where he comes across as just a grumpy alcoholic who's just barely getting by - and that's so not how I see him. He's a brilliant guy who's hit a low point in his life, is all. Which you've illustrated here. So, kudos! I really liked this. :)
